You don't add an apostrophe to cars or clouds or pies (unless it is being used as a possessive noun). So why do it to an acronym or initialisation?

I know that some people see it as being pedantic. I get that. But I work in an industry (and did in the previous industry, too) that is full of acronyms and initialisations and they are used very commonly, I'd say I come across an acronym/initialisation at least every hour, and the vast majority of those use the apostrophe when pluralising them.

By the way, for those who don't know , there is a difference between an acronym and an initialisation. The vast majority of the workforce incorrectly call them all acronyms.

You need pasture-raised and certified organic. Most of the crap we get is imported from Asia, Costco probably American or Canadian - all fed on corn/soy and GMO which encourages growths.

As a society, we actively discourage drug use for obvious reasons. Ice, Heroin, Speed, Cocaine, Ecstasy, Cannabis, Methamphetamine.................... all substances that are considered illegal, highly addictive and harmful to human life.

So, "Why is it" alcohol is not more closely restricted? This stuff is just as addictive and harmful yet there is nothing to limit it's use.

Watching someone gripped by alcohol is painful and exhausting. And yet that person has a limitless supply if so chosen.

I despise alcohol. I despise those who make it. I despise those who sell it. And I do not care who I offend with those statements.

My father was an alco. Mum and I eventually got sick of the **** and moved out. My brother stayed and found him dead in bed at 49.

He is on the same path to an early grave so I am well aware how bad it gets when you have a problem.

I don't think it should be restricted but they sure milk the taxes on durries and booze and more should be put into problems they cause.

Because the teachers have never left school and are detached from the realities of life.....they don't like being accountable for their performance so kids exam outcomes clearly show outcomes based on their teaching....ban exams and problems solved all round.

Not many men teaching anymore kids being brought up by women alone is also not a good preparation for life.

I had very good teachers when I was at school but I reckon these days the curriculum is crowded with so much BS not focusing on the basics.

She bought a new tea pot the other day.
Me, "Is the other one broken?"
Her, "No but this one is better, it's stainless steel"

Her, "Well this one has the built in tea strainer, I got sick of having to use a strainer"
Me, "Yes, me too, so much hard work, not"

That's why we also have 8 pairs of tongs, 3 potato mashers, 12 pairs of scissors lying about, 2 complete sets of cutlery in the draw, and look out if you mix them up.
I could go on, and don't start me off about towels.
