Why is it the nation which claims to be the Leader of the Free World has the world's largest incarceration rate?

A mere sprinkling of winter rain in Sydney, and it seems that most drivers have pawned any remaining brain cells in exchange for black market alprazolam…

Why is it that getting technical support is so ****ing difficult?
I have had ongoing issues with my Foxtel Now box and it's just the same BS troubleshooting over and over again. Just put it through to the 2nd or 3rd level support FFS! I had a replacement sent out under warranty and still have all the same issues. I finally got around to calling them up to put in a technical support claim and yep same BS troubleshooting even though I said I had done it all 100 times so 101 is not going to be the trick! If I have had two different boxes that have had the same issues and tried with two different networks when other devices have no problems using Foxtel Go or Now apps then what is more likely. The box hardware and/or software is ****ed or my network? Anyways they have forwarded it to a case manager so see how that goes |

It doesn't matter when they are overseas support centres anyway. At least that much is consistent, the service is **** mostly because you can't understand what is being said |

I agree; I think it’s the same anywhere. I upgraded to a Foxtel IQ3 box several years ago and it was an absolute piece of junk. After numerous calls to Foxtel and their continued failure to fix it, I went back to the IQ2. It wasn’t a cable issue; the software in that box is full of bugs that they can’t be bothered to fix. Their support is dismal. I gave them a one-star review on Product Review and wasn’t surprised to see so many others had the same issues.

Picked up the bedroom curtains from the dry cleaners this morning.
Why is it when they ask me what colour they are I've got no idea? They've only been in the house for ten years now

Why it it there are only 902 Falcons for sale on Carsales? Production ended less than five years ago. They can't have all disappeared.

Same response I have already got. Do the same troubleshooting and if that doesn't work lodge a warranty claim which I have already done FFS! Why can I use the same hardware (a Foxtel Now Android box) to watch Netflix, Youtube and any other Android app without any issue but it is only Foxtel Now that has any issue? I forgot to mention that in any of my correspondence before but that will be what I bring up next. And also that I have been a service desk analyst and am now a software developer for 10+ years. I'm willing to fight this fight if only I end up with a refund and cancelling my account |

I may eventually go that route. I have had two bounce backs due to attachment size but it gave me the opportunity to add in how Netflix, YouTube etc have no problems on their own hardware.
All I need from them is we will look into or we can't be arsed so we will give your money back, don't jerk me around. 9.9/10 of the **** I deal with at work is a data issue or caused by some weird **** they do with the data in downstream systems so I'm used to it almost always not being my problem but I have been caught out on occasion. So even though it is almost a certain waste of my time where others can sort it out quite easily, I always do some very basic level of troubleshooting |

Why is it that replacement spectacle lenses are more expensive than a new set of spectacles ?
Why don’t optometrists have in-store optical mechanics anymore ? (Yeah I know - it’s all about cost and profit but it totally stinks) |

That is a question that crosses my mind for a long time. You wear a pair of reg grundies, a pair of pants, and a tee shirt, yet all are 1 item. A pair of socks or a pair of shoes makes perfect sense as there is 2 of them. It should be putting on a pant, an undie, a short, a bordy, a swimmer.

It’s a good question. I looked up the answer. A thing is called a pair if it is always referred to in plural form only. So, trousers, glasses, pliers, tweezers, scissors are called pairs. A shirt is not plural so it isn’t referred to as a pair.
Why do people collect spoons? As a souvenir of where they’ve been. Ironically, most of their spoons would have been made in China. I was in a NPWS shop recently and bought a coaster with an aboriginal pattern on the top. It looks cool on my desk, but the sticker underneath says it was made in China.
