Stolen from Mandurah if I remember right, pretty sure it was a WA car. Keys taken from the blokes kitchen table while they were asleep.

That photo has been doing the rounds for ages before failblog got it.

Went to the mattara hill climb in newcastle on the weekend.. Seen a nice Ford GT40 there all locked up in the morning..

Went back in the afternoon when the owner had the back open and nearly cried when I seen there was a chev motor in it :( MURDER!

Despite this hidden horror it was still pretty neat

Its not a huge deal I agree but I hang my head in shame everytime, I dont care how fast it is, or the fact that it is a "kit" Ford, its still a Ford and should have a Ford engine.

People throw LS1 et al in there because they are light, thats fine, but its sacrilege.

Dirt road in Parkes after what felt like 10 feet of rain. Thankfully there was some very kind people at the Dish that gave me a lift back to Parkes and some even friendlier young guys who took me back out there and dragged me out - Country folk ftw! Never would i have gotten that sort of help in Sydney.

Couldn't get it out as the rear drivers side wheel has slid off the edge of the road and its beached the axle

Thats not a fail in my books, having been caught out a couple of times and driven on roads in a smiliar condition its hard to keep the car on the road even doing 40 k's. Had to drive back from a farm one day after and during torrential downpour on a similiar road and it takes a fair bit of effort just to stay on the road. Had a land cruiser in front of me and even that spent a bit of time cross up.

Bit like Fast & Furious (Tokyo Drift) where they slap a ricer into a Mustang Fastback...

Genius Customer: "Well, why don't you take the tyres off the rims, and swap them from left-to-right??? That way i'll get another 2000km to save some money for some re-treads.... right????"

Its already too late when someone like that plows into an innocent car/driver/pedestrian...

may as well cash in your insurance... i'm pretty sure that NO company out there would pay out a claim if they found these kind of tyres on a car...

Disgrace that things like this happen...
I give up!!!!

Far from a fail, with tightening laws regarding kit cars, a LS chev is a great choice... light compact cheap and easy to get power from. Very sensible idea. And given that its a kit car, its open game. But now the new 5.0L is out, i know what ild choose!

I don't like it when people put chev engines in ford kit cars, hot rods, modifieds or any other type of car.

I know it's only just us oldies whinging but to me it's like:

make your mind up fella!
are you are ford or chev or mopar fan? pick one only!
otherwise you're a confused individual with no real passion for cars!

I know it's not true, but that's how lots of us feel...
