The four day weekend is coming up soon, so I was guna paint some of the interior, and a bit in the engine bay then. Wouldn't mind a hand if you can spare it. Got all the design figured out.
What's next on the agenda for the ORSMXT? |

hey
i like ur car i think the wheels look funny that big, and the car looks like a 4wd still.. sorry the interior looks awesome i liked the grill when u had it all black, and i think the chrome strips would look good if u painted them black too i did a quick chop, colour coded side door moulds, lowered a bit more and the wheels slightly smaller, and also the black strips and tinted tail lights |

Sorry mate, I reckon the black strips look stupid without the black door moulds. I won't tint my tailights as I have got bf ones and I won't colour code just yet. But maybe one day

Hey mate,
Firstly, excellent work on the car. We've never met or spoken, I just stumbled on this showthread by accident :P I clicked the wrong one. But I got wrappt, and started reading. What you've done is pretty damn nice, espescially since you've done a lot of it yourself. I personally am still on the L's :( But I own a 2004 Ba XR6 in Blueprint. I reckon the wheels are awesome, and set the whole car off. I'd make my own thread if I could figure out how to post pics up here :P Keep up the good work? Cheers. |

Hey man,
Nice looking piece of machinery youve got yourself, I especially like the grill. Looks real nice with the silver. Ive got a soft spot for the b series xt's and your interior light and bf tail lights mods have given me ideas of simple changes I could make, so I should say thanks in that regard.

Don't mean to sound harsh but I'm not really fan of any of the aftermarket mods, especially the rims, and lack of lowering, the interior paint, the black boot garnish, the painted calipers, and the tinted headlight covers. The interior paint will likely kill the re-sale value.
The good thing is that it shouldn't bother you as long as you like it that's the main thing. I do however, like the polished gear surround and will be having a look at the tech guide for this when I get a chance. I assumed these were plastic and so couldn't really be polished.

gee thats a bit harsh i'd say, let the man do what he wants to do - its unique. I think his car looks tops! most people dont seem to be into the whole big rims, scrape the ground lowering etc etc thing but i think it just makes the car work.
Keep up the good work man!

and a quick question, what paint did you use to paint your drum on the brakes? and how did you prime it so the rust wouldn't effect it?
Thanks in advance (i have to do mine as the rusted look is devaluing my 20s :P)

I like the wheels, and the exterior of the car. Having been an obsessive car plastics interior painter in the past, I can understand your desire to paint everything...but (no comment). Keep going though - it's your car, and it looks great from outside! Oh, and I wish mine looked half as good!
