I'd imagine he'd be one of the smokers of the year level, and will be expelled before year 10. Just my 2c. |

given that its "pretty clear and obvious" makes me wonder why our tax paying society should even bother with 12 year olds like this |

My opinion is the boy has been taught a lesson. I hope he learns from it and moves on, as should everyone else now I think. Ritchard is still human afterall, and the way everyone is ganging up on him makes us no better than the bully he was. If it keeps going, he will become the bullied, are we going to feel bad when he ends up roping himself? Everyone, even bullies, deserve a chance to get things right and move on and I hope this is what Ritchard and the general populous does.

Eye brow ring at 12..WTF are the parents thinking! Who is the drop kick that did it...
My wife asked when I thought was a good age for a daughter to get her ears done, shes not even 1 yet, I said maybe when she goes to highschool (whats that..14 or so). Ear rings for a girl are a bit different, but still, whats the rush? She agreed so it was ok..no domestic. I cant imagine allowing a kid to go get that done. Danny I agree, but the parents are just at fault here...they should go look at a dental plan aswell.

Ugly little brut.
Looks like the kinda kid that’d be hanging out at the bus stop, ‘aye brah score us a loose there’ I gave some little native a touch up at the shops a few weeks back for touching my $5,000+ mountain bike, said nice bike to him and he acted like it was his, I don't think so mate…Didn’t look much older than 14…I don’t care. Little turds like that need to be shown. Casey did the world a favour.

I was bulled at school. I was fortunate enough to have a group of friends who helped mitigate any serious situations. That being said, one no hoper almost got the better of me. He was the sort of person who would be laughing under his breath when I had to speak in front of the class, yet was never prepared to his work, he would call names, often across the school yard, and tried to fight me in a similar situation to Casey v. Richard.
Fortunately, one of my teachers was easy going enough that he decided that he would turn a blind eye to any form of retaliation that went on in his classroom. He just announced one day that if I was so inclined, I could take my anger out on this particular person (Paxton - we'll turn a blind eye if you want to drop Jason one class). The fear alone kept him away from me for the rest of school. I'm not a violent person, but unfortunately, there are times when you just snap, and that is what happened to Casey. I think there needs to be less wowser attitudes to this. Kids get into fights all the time. It is just human nature, almost like protecting one's territory. That being said, I do think that a 12 year old, walking up to a 16 year old, and just punching him like that is a bit rich. He was strutting around like there was a referee and judging panel, with his cronies egging him on. There is no way that he can escape repercussions for the rest of his life. All you have to do is Google: Ritchard, and he is the first two suggestions, let alone results. He will struggle to gain employment, and further education is almost out of the question. I am all for Casey. I would not have done the same in the same situation, but all the power to him for showing that he wouldn't let a little weed get the better of him.

The travesty here is that Casey got suspended, just typical of the pc attitudes of schools these days.
I'm very impressed with the restraint shown by Casey, I would have continued to deal to this scumbag while he was down, yet he managed to show remarkable composure and walk away. Hopefully that little **** see's the error of his ways and turns his life around.... wont hold my breath though. |

As I said though it is time to move on from Casey & Ritchard. It is fine to talk about the bully issue but we should not use these two as the example.

yeah. I hate the little nob's that can't back it up. One kid had been teasing me for years and I never said anything back, then one day he said something and I said I'd drop him. He did so I just tripped him a couple minutes later. He had tears in his eyes, and it wasnt even hard.
and its just not the boys these days, the girls are vicious. Even just to boys. One chick hits me in the "man area" as often as she can, and as hard as she can. it was a bit of a game at first with a couple of other girls but I asked them to knock it off, as it could cause like real lasting damage, and they did stop, but this one girl just does so many things that are just not funny to anyone but her, so much so that i know a few people who want to hit her, but because shes a girl you just can't, but on the other hand if you go to a teacher with it it makes you a wuss. |

I think telling a teacher if you were getting picked on at school was a waste of time, 1. they rarely give the bully more then a warning 2. the bully rarely learns his lesson 3.the whole year level picks on you for ratting one of the "cool" kids to the teachers, No this didn't happen to me but it did happen to a few people i knew.
In this instance i think Casey behaved appropriate and did no more then what was needed, but sadly i don't think Richard has learnt his lesson going by that interveiw on today tonight and will just find another smaller kid to pick on. Also being a short, chubby and generaly layed back kind of person, naturaly I got picked on by a few people who knew i wouldnt fight back or return insults, i wonder if i had stuck up for myself (i probly would have had my butt handed to me anyway) would have the bullies left me alone and i'd still be in school, probly. but i never did because anyone in a fight at school no matter if u were the one being picked on you were suspended, that is just plain wrong in every way. i will also add that bullies feel as big as the groupe around them, when talking with them 1 on 1 they are normaly good people, its just that once there in their little gangs that they think there top stuff and everyone else should be kissing the ground they walk on. felt good to get that off my chest. cheers |
