Problem is everything was booked in the for the second half of 2011.. By the time they get ranger, new focus and FGII on the ground in decent numbers it will be 2012...

2012 should be a good year for the blue oval providing they keep their eye on the ball and put alot of effort into making sure 2012 is a profitable year for all involved.. That will mean they will need to start planning things alot better including stock allocations and what promotions they run.

If it was September, surely we would have something leaked by now?
I am looking at buying new car November this year, and i was really hoping the FGII will be what i am looking for.

Not really. Think back to "AUIII" - Ford said it would never happen but it was sprung on us by surprise around October 2001, when the model was released in November.

Mate Ford Australia are making money and Have been longer than what Holden has. yes they sell less Falcons than Commodoores but Ford is focussed on increasing profit margin than selling volume and barely making a profit.
I think Ford are interested in cutting costs and producing a profit margin from that, and are doing so by winding down Australian manufacturing operations year by year, before becoming an import only brand.

We'll wait till 2016 to see which one of us is right.

Not necessarily, the visual changes aren't significant and they could probably get away with confining the cars to the proving ground. Interior and engine changes are probably out and about now in normal FG's and we wouldn't know.

They dont need to road test basic plastic changes.. Plus the new ICC has already been tested in Territory...

I think it will be simliar to BF MKII, new wheels, new ICC and possibly some new front bumpers.

in which case, maybe to save money they could just re-fit some of the unsold FG1's if there are as many lying around as i've heard

^^ As opposed to the generic B series...

Anyway, I swear I saw an article stating October was when the update was due. It was in a motorshow release.

I don't particularly fancy the AU series 1 either, but the AUII I do like. I prefer the wagons to the sedans, and the Futura is probably my favourite of the models... I may be biased, as my family has a AUII Futura wagon, but I think the wheels on the AUII Futura suit it nicely for stock wheels.

XR8/6's do look good as well. But to me the Futura was the tidiest looking model.

I wish Ford would release a new wagon for the Falcon... or even two, a sportwagon, and a full size wagon, and then an AWD lifted version of that. lol.

Would probably cost more then just giving a massive discount to clear it out and starting from scratch.

Besides, wouldn't there be build plate issues?

They should be coming down the line soon but would be left inside and the new parts covered up to be driven down the Geelong.

I've seen mules, front bars covered up.

Broadmeadows have built a few runs of them this year.
