Hmm looking through some of the older brochures, it seems that the LTD had 10 way power seats quite a ways back (early e series). And yes, EL ghia brochure clearly states power drivers optional. Also sport suspension was optional too.

Still back then in 1996 the EL Ghia was killer spec wise.

Ford will plod on with the SOHC Boss motor.. How long did we have the standard 175kw windsor V8 for? 10-12 years?

I really hope for the Ghia it gets either or both the Turbo or XR8 motor. Maybe the Fairmont Ghia will get the Turbo and the Fairlane gets the boss.

So, does anyone think the front bumper on the fairmont ghia has a big enough hole to allow for an intercooler?

That's what I like about FPV. What HSV do with every new model that is released is add an extra handful of kW. FPV in keeping the same power figures, allow earlier customers of the BA and BF to not be left out in missing the extra offerings of power. Keeps the resale value of earlier cars better off as well.

I’ve heard many complaints from SS and HSV buyers where they have just got (for example) a VX, and then the VY is released with more power (look at the early VT GTS and how that got given more power in such a short amount of time). This method taken up from HSV leaves customers of earlier models feeling left out, and there to deal with further decreases in resale value.

The BF and BFII bumpers remind me of the turbo taxi prototypes that we caught on camera.

It's better but still just not enough to call my heart back just yet.

The ghia is fine but maybe a little tacky with xr bits maybe the side skirts aren't for it.

More likely because they sold stuff all 3V manuals. Probably less than 100. So considered not worth making anymore. 5 speed Tremec box was then an orphan after the Boss got the 6 speed manual, and Ford didn't want to spend the dollars on fitting the T56 to 3V.

You aren't not having much luck are you?

Once you decide which forum/section you need there is a "new thread" button on the top left of the page. You will need to fill in the title line making it clear what the thread is to be about.

The site is divided into categories so you need to try and make the question or topic relevant to the category section

No. I think the 5 speed XR6 ute and 6 speed manual XR6 sedan are the only 190 engines available with manual.

Ford apparently told dealers they can order Six Speed manual XTs?

Id like to see that, and really dont know why you couldnt do it considering the XR6 runs the same running gear, theres the diff issue but surely that wouldnt be a huge problem.
