I had to read through a lot of crap about mudflaps to check if I had something new to add. But I do so here goes:

It will be called XR4. It is the same as ST. Orders can be placed in May 07. Cars ordered in May and June will have stripes included after that they will become optional. Comes with 17" standard. 2x Front airbags, Thoroax (spelling?) and curtain airbags, ABS + EBD, Heated mirrors all the other electrical crap, 6 Disc CD, Partial Leather. 110kw @ 6,000rpm and 198NM @ 4,400rpm. The badging will be in the same fashion as the Focus XR5 NOT like the Fiesta ST. Expect to be paying $30k drive away depending on options.

We haven't decided on a colour yet but likely the dark blue metallic with white stripes. Either way come june (when the first shipment arrives) there will be an XR4 parked next to the ute.

It also shouldn't be much longer for the new Mondeo to be here...

I applied for a small amount of credit ($5,000) with ford and the interest rate is 13.2% annually, my interest to be paid on this amount is around $2,000. Wouldnt finance the whole amount though!

Hmm, XR4 in the middle of next year? Nah. Ford really missed the boat on that one, should have released it soon after the WQ like the XR5. Too many brand new euro hot hatches coming out soon when the the WQ will already be 18 months old when it does get here. Hopefully it's a big success so when the WR/Mk7 Fiesta rolls in, the XR4 isn't an afterthought.
In the meantime I'll keep my Zetec, maybe with some tasteful mods.

I think 30k driveaway is bit steep imo, a bit too much competition around in that price bracket.
Mitch, what did you say ya VW Gti cost driveaway?

06Fiesta you got shafted on the interest rate because its a small amount.

Price wise I should say $25,990 + ORC although it depends what options in the euroland come as standard here.

I would be inclined towards the 29-30k bracket with all "essential" options, (wheels, prestige paint, etc) stripes if you're into that. Too much for me atm

I dont think there will be any optional wheels for the XR4... they'd get the lots-of-spokes 17" rims with 205/40R17 Pirelli P-Zero.

like these :P

You never know they could go like ford in germany the 17's are an option on the ST there. They get the 16's from the zetec-s as std.

As mentioned before the XR4 here gets the 17"s standard. All other mentioned equipment is standard too, plus more but I couldn't remember it all. We get more here standard than in europe, but there are still more options available. Hence the expected $30k drive away price. However on the price I am not 100% the rest of what I have posted is correct and reliable.

Mitch, what did you say ya VW Gti cost driveaway?

I got candy white GTI with leather interior, dark metallic window tint and premium european plates for 31k drive away.

Got it cheap because my brother does business with the sales manager at a sydney VW dealership.

i was happy with the price, the car was delivered as promised and on time. The paint was fantastic, beautifully presented and sitting in the showroom ready to be driven out of the glass doors VW mascot made me feel like a king

all "essential" options come standard....................like abs, driver and passenger airbags. (im pretty sure side curtain airbags are standard 2.....not 100%) EBD and all that safety Jazz.............

Imguessing the only options will be little luxuries like the stripes, bluetooth, rain sensing wipers, and all that jazz sorta stuff.

i also feel towards the 30k mark....

2x Front Airbags, Thoroax and curtain airbags are standard, ABS, EBD with Discs all round are standard. Stripes are standard in May and June, Partial Leather seats, 17" Rims, Power windows, Heated power mirrors, Remote entry, Leather s/wheel, leather gear lever, Alloy pedals and scuff plates and 6 disc in dash stacker are all standard. This info is a fact and correct!!!!!

I may have even forgotten stuff and I know that there are options available but don't know what.
