The Libs got 41.6 of the primary vote - and to be in a good position to win, you need at least 40% - which neither party had according to all those polls.

LNP in the QLD State election had it won by more than 10 seats, if they had taken One Nation into coalition as most if not all of One Nation voters were once LNP voters that could just not stomach the LNP anymore.

OK. There are some who don't know, or know where Betoota is, and I have come across them.
If anyone is out that way, they have some historic photos in there, from when it was operating as a pub years ago. Some on display were taken by my father when he worked in the area.

I beleive Clive Palmer got 100% return on the money he invested in a campaign of "dont vote for Shorten".

I am pretty sure that Palmers end game was ALP to lose, not for UAP to win a seat. As I understand polictical donation rules, it nots possible for him to donate 60M to the Liberal Party to help them win the election, but he can spend it on himself, or if thats not entirel correct, by running his own campaign, so he has full control over it to send the message he wanted.

Bit of light relief....

Driving back from Sydney with a colleague and he mentioned all tradies love their utes/trucks. They may not get much at home but they have their trucks.

At what does the working man's party do- Labor wants to get rid of their trucks and give them electric Jettson vehicles- which will not get them across Sydney x3 before needing recharge.

He mentioned Coalition should have got an add, with video of a real Ranger in a crusher (This is what Greens/Labor want to do with your truck) and then show Mr Potatoe Head driving in a Jettson style animated electric bubble with tools falling out the back.
