Sorry Rodge I misread it but I am surprised thay even went down this path given past history. The seats would have been nice but I think the GT-P side of things will be wrapped up lonng before this hits production, in fact I doubt you can order one now.

I fail to see how they lost the plot.
Nothing wrong with the EB and EL.

As far as 90's local performance cars, they were at the top of their game and only bettered by the VS GTS-R.

The E series GT's were damn good cars, I'd be proud to own one.

That's cause some dealers were trying to get somewhere between 10 to 20k over retail. Can happen when you're that greedy.

I think everyone who has been having a go at no difference in power output should just relax and wait for the full specifications which Ford said will release soon. They have printed the power output for the Pursuit at 315kw but nowhere in the specs for the GT-F is power output. Watch this space. Looks like they sucked a few in already!

I had a big thing for the EB and EL GT models when I was a kid. Something about them drew me in. Can't say I'd be too bummed if there was an EL GT sitting in my shed...

Could this model mean that Ford have a fair few FG Falcons fitting around in the yard so they released this GT-F?

I wouldnt say sucked in, but as I said why play games, its the end of the line and this is the only good news Ford has had for ages. They naturally are not saying a thing about FH until this is done so hurry the heck up.

Less than 2 years of the Falcon and counting, if it goes the stated distance, and can someone (anyone) explain the logic of no pictures?

Does the power level even matter?
My understanding is the 335 will shred the tyres at any speed currently. FPV has admitted it hits 375kw on over boost so power isn't a problem. Its all about traction and handling now.

This will probably be the fastest GT ever regardless of what sticker they put on the side of it.

Can't help wondering why they never had a tinker with the F6 engine which has been making 310 kw's for the last six years. Also even if they couldn't get any more power out within their strict framework of reliability, why not have a last F6 R Spec with the better suspension and brakes ?. R&D was paid for on this model ages ago, why not have a final hurrah for this model too ?...go figure.

They aren't playing games. Just giving customers the chance to place orders for the colours and car covers etc so that they do have a choice.

The pursuit ute is laughable. Still same power as GS and no decent wheels.

Wonder if the sedan will have different wheels, or the same boooooring ones the GT has had for ages.

Perhaps it will get it last harrah in the form of the FH XR6T?

Most likely they will be the R spec wheels with different paint colour highlights on them, following FPV tradition of re-using the same wheel's over and over and over again with nothing more than different colours on them.

At least the sticker price is reasonable and not 85k or whatever others were claiming in the past.

The 201X turbo will remain 270kw, the F6 engine will be dead by next month.

Ford would be reluctant to do another F6 R spec as from memory the last one didn't sell and they were still trying to clear them out long after they went on sale. It only has a tiny fraction of the appeal that an LE GT does.

Although it would have been a good bit of gear with the upgraded suapension and bigger rears, and launch control on the autos since the manuals already have it.

your joking right???? they will atleast paint the wheels. thats there specialty. they have had chrome ,then chrome with black accent then painted them red accents for the r-specs and grey for the 2012 onwards f6,s so my mind boggles ..... maybe viper green bling them right out.

Consider these all sold out.

I have no idea why the GT-F/Pursuit threads aren't closed already, there is nothing else to talk about really.

I got to page three before all the negativity in this thread caused me to go into a state of acute depression, start listening to The Cure and want to slash my wrists.

Personally, this post sums it up for me.

So how can you be disappointed that FPV has not gone out with a bang?
There is no real data on the GT-F?
No Power Figures and No Photos?
All they have done is confirmed they are releasing one more GT and you and others are already posting your disappointment with no real data to back up your comments.
So the rumours still stand, what has changed? Oh that is what has changed a GT IS COMING

A lot of posts I saw on here are there are no Brembo's - GT-F has this
It needs more tyre on the rear - GT-F has this
Rspec gear should be fitted as standard to a GT - Ummm GT-F has this as well
As well as everything else as stated in the press release

So we get all the above as requested then instead of being excited about this the regulars post how disappointed they are as it won't be a 351 or it won't look good

I even saw a post where it stated it's just a sticker pack.

NO POWER FIGURES HAVE BEEN RELEASED
NO PHOTOS HAVE BEEN RELEASED

Come on get real - disappointed with no details about the complete package lol

You must be one of the 'special' dealers who actually knows a thing or two about the cars you are selling then...?

My salesman I'm dealing with still doesn't know much about this new GT yet. In fact, when I was in the showroom last I knew more about the features of the FPV's he had on the floor than he did.
