Ok folks, well i cancelled the 2 rooms. I didn't want to wait until to late to do it and the owner can't sell the rooms. So rather than muck the hotel about, those 2 Queens are cancelled.

I was told by the hotel that every room has been taken. No available rooms at all. So anyone thinking about coming, you will have to find alternative accomodation. Nothing available at St Georges.

Hopefully those still on the list are still coming.

Cheers

Dwayne

Look forward to meeting you all... i'll be getting the route map ready for the cruise in the coming weeks so we all know where to go from Maccas on Sunday.

See you in a few weeks... damn time flys! I remember when it was 4 months away...

Another thing I wanted to mention, is that the hotel has secure parking, but its not massive. It covers most rooms. But as they are booked, not really knowing which bookings mean guests will have a car, we may have to do what we do at FPV. Thats to Stack the cars.

Taken from the hotel at FPV time when we booked out the hotel. You might find that most people are out at night, so we should be cool. I just wanted to show you, incase you got concerned on arrival if there were only a few parks available. Where theres a will, theres a way :

Definatley fit another 8 cars in there :

Actually I think by memory theres been more cars which have reached around to reception. I remember the Commodore which had the misfortune of being park right in the middle of us. :

Woo hoo .... will bring the camera and charger with me for sure.
And detailling products (what/when are we going to do the detailling ... especially after the trip down there's going to be plenty of bug splatters).

Seeing as I did a night job for the courier company last night ... I massacred about 5000 bugs ... the ute is a mess ... that's what you get for doing 1700km overnight and part of the next day ... straight driving ... only stopping for fuel/drink/food.

Was good actually ... getting me used to long distance driving again.

1700 k's in one hit would be a killer. Dunno how you do it.

The hotel has a tap and hose at the end of the car park. Usually we park the cars there, give them a wash and move them into a bay for the rest of the clean. I would suggest someone pack an extention cord and a Vaccum Cleaner. Maybe a few of us do that. Anyone who has a room on the ground floor, we can run the cords to the room to vaccum the car. I think the best time to clean is early on the Sunday morning before we leave for the Cruise. I think thats planned for 11. So we should leave the hotel around 10:30 to get to the meeting point. So we can have a few hours in the morning for cleaning duties.

I have a cigarette lighter run vauum cleaner ... I will bring that with me.

I will get the ute cleanwed right up before driving down ... so i don't need to do interior stuff really ... it will just be exterior detailing for me really ... a quick clean and wax for me in morning.

I have been reading of your plans for a while O Fellas from the North!

I greatly admire your desire to get down here! Even though I may not have booked my spot, (second daughter was born 2 days ago!) I hope to at least cruise on down there to meet many of you!

It would be great to put some faces to names.

All the very best for the cruise down, hope you don't splatter too many bugs! LOL!

If I had a decent camera here ... I'd take a pic of the front of the ute after the country run I did the other day ... the white mirror caps are bug/bloody splattered ... headlights a covered in bugs ... bug guts streamed up my bonnet ... oil cooler/condensor covered in bugs .... can't see front numberplate through the clear cover .... cos it's covered in bugs.

I am definitely going to pay for someone to clean my car this time ... I am not going to clean that crap off myself.

There is also a carwash nearby just up on Bell St, a couple of blocks up from the Macca's opposite the Shell servo in case anyone decides to 'sleep in'.

Congratulations GK.

Ok cool thanks. Could be a good option to head out there and use the things like the high pressure hose and the vaccum.

Ok folks, I've had some changes made per the request of a few guys for the weekend. Please no more changes. The hotel were ok with the changes as some rooms had become available, but please no more changes. Changes are cool between us. So if you want to swap your room with someone in the group then thats final.

Lets focus on making it a worthwhile trip.

Hope everyone is happy with the changes.

Upon arrival, we will have to pay for the rooms.

The rooms stand as this

1. Stiddy (Twin) 22nd & 23rd
2. Mechan1k (Queen) 22nd, 23rd and 24th
3. xr8ute (Queen) 22nd & 23rd
4. Chief (Family) 22nd & 23rd
5. Bluedriver (Twin) 22nd & 23rd
6. Krusty & missus (Queen) 21st, 22nd & 23rd
7. Falkeen (Queen) 22nd & 23rd

Did you guys want to do anything on monday before we head home. Maybe visit FPV for a look, need spares, maybe we can go out to FTG or want to talk to the guys at G&D.

I vote FPV as it is on our way home. But upto you guys.

Maybe we can discuss it at the hotel
