Looks great and love the GT especially. They managed to make a newer design that looks the business without actually taking anything away from the BA GT and F6 models. Great design job. As for the performance, don't let the numbers fool you. These cars will go!

Would it help if a suggestion was put forward along the lines that we weren't the only site to run those pictures.

I agree, now i want a BF wasp just like yours, except with those 19 fingamejigs and a six speed slush box...

Too bad they are like $67,000 once you get them on the road! : :

I reckon the GT will do 0 - 100 in the Six speed auto around 5.6 Seconds and the quarter in about 13.4, if it doesnt then ill be mighty dissapointed. :

But 67k is a good price isn't it. I think someone worked it out to be a $900 increase. For that you get 19 up from the 18s and Brembos or at least the front half of them.

Effectively and within reason you have a MK2 GT-P and that would have been around 77k drive away

Hmm depends tho, you could probarly buy a Mark II GTP for less then that at this stage.

I really can't afford to spend $67,000 on a car at this stage, i would be happy spending $55,000 max which may in 12 months time get me into a BF Pursuit, hopefully they get the 19's as an option atleast! :

I suspect you are right but you are still without the improvements introduced in BF in general which I would consider to be reasonably worth while. I think people are getting a lot of car for the money. By the time you stick a twin system upgrade the air intake 6 speed auto that you can’t get this, BF GT would have to be the best performance car buy on the market for the purposes that the majority of people expect.

There is an embargo in place and Motor stuffed up. That's about the only reason they need. Most manufacturers would like to have some control over the way their product is rolled out to make sure it is presented in the way they would like.

Lol it was a joke... Sorry Steffo!

Steffo your wealth of knowledge is great.. But always being negative towards FPV or Ford does get me a little annoyed. To say things like you said about the FPV seats is a little offensive I feel to those people who actually own the car, and considering it is the top of the FPV line up, I would think there would have been a fair amount of time spent on developing the seats along with the materials they are made from.

The ones that are never happy are usually the ones that would never buy it in the first place. Total Performance is FPV's game, they have stated on numerous occasions that they aren't interested in speed only.

Anyways, enough from me, but i will depart by saying anyone I know with an FPV product loves the vehicle to death, and in most cases has had many Ford/Tickford products before it, that says it all for me. I think the BF has just built on what a car the BA is.

of course they can . what imean is it is being bagged and from what i am reading here it is vastly upgrded over a ba .and no one has driven or seen one yet . so people can think what they like . but it's a bit shallow at this stage to bag on assumptions . but it makes very interesting reading.

And that is the point. At some stage we have stopped allowing for the possibility that we are all different and see things in a way that might not be to everyone’s taste. Exercising a bit of respect for opposing points of views goes a long way. I think it is a pretty decent job but I don’t mind hearing from people that don't agree. I am certainly going to listen and take notice of what everyone says. Some people seem fixated on "my opinion is right and everyone one else is clueless" mentality.

ok fair enough sorry I thought you were getting a bit out of hand, I agree that bagging it is going a bit too far considering only 3 pictures of it have been seen at this stage. A big part of improving the cars is listening to critism from it's fans and although some opinons are absolute sh*t there are others that are 'constructive' in improving the reputation of the brand reguardless of whether they are going to buy the car or not.

With that said i'm more eager to hear those who have driven it and hopefully it's as nice to drive as it looks. :

Thumbs up

FPV have to approach new model releases for many different angles. I will most likely not buy one. This is by no way a reflection on the BF, as from what I can see, it’s a very good car, however, because I have a MK II GT-P, and am extremely happy with it, I will get a few miles out of this one.

I will most likely be looking at the model after the BF.
FPV have changed the car enough to be easily distinguished from its predecessor and without putting the purists off side with any radical new designs.

For those people out there who haven’t driven an FPV, go to a dealer and try one out. These cars rock and once you drive one, it’s hard to get them out of your system.

Cheers, Danny

Motor didn't stuff up, FPV stuffed up when they believed a magazine rep could guarantee that no magazine would be sent out before a certain date.

Yeah Motor usually sends out magazines to subscribers earlier then the release date, i guess they need to keep there subscribers happy otherwise they wont see a point in subscribing to get the magazine 2 to 3 days late. Therefore FPV should have told them to halft delivering the magazines early or shouldnt have bothered giving the informations out this early. All that remains to be seen is the GT-P and the utes. And the article doesnt go into alot of detail as well so there should be more.

Mate, its just my opinion. I mean no offense to any FPV owners. I've sat in every model of BA there was, and I can honestly say I'm not a fan of the FPV seats/trim. I love the XR's interior's in comparison.

Besides.. I'm not always negative to Ford :P Just look up some of my posts about how much I love the XR6 Turbo haha...

Mmmm... black BF XR6 Turbo 6spd auto *drools*

That may well be the case but the publication hit the streets before the embargo lifted. Motor knows what embargos mean and as such it shouldn't have happened. I know it’s worked in the past so there was no reason to think it wouldn't have worked this time. The schedule was clearly set many many weeks ago. Only one part had the ability to determine when the mags left the depot and adjusted accordingly.

I have never known motor mag to show up in the news agency before the scheduled date but perhaps that’s a Tassie thing. Just as the cars are the responsibility of the car companies the mags are the responsibility of the publishers

Well from what I saw from the pics on the other forum they have'nt stuffed them up, I think the GT looks great, I'm not as impressed with the F6 front though.

Will be up early for the roll out on the website tomorrow....bet it takes a while to load, the server might be a little overloaded!

I think the F6 might grow on people. I wonder if FPV have planed for the extra load on the server?

Not sure if there is a webcast of the show and what the schedule is but I will be trying to check that out as well.
