Any body interested in a coupe cruise in S.E.Qld we are having one on the 30th of sept. Meeting at bob jane behind grandplazer at brownsplains in between the times of 9am to leave at 10am. Then we will head over the top of MT Tamborine and down to surfers.

my xb is currently in primer, 302 and in maryborough qld, will be getting a full make over to white with appollo blue cobra stripes, and 351. :evil3:

I dont think so. More along the lines of normal xa gt coupe with some HO4 goodies fitted. No H code on the plate, or GTHO markings.

Its a bit misleading (the title) the cruise is open to all fords and chryslers, and is on the 21st not the 14th.

anyways, trying to get some coupes together for the day...

mines a 73 Fairmont actually, condition is 'undergoing engine refresh so I thought I would do the engine bay and the wiring whilst I was there' .. over 2 years ago

Peachey80 its more like an addiction I just love the shape and beauty of the XA XB XC coupes and have owned a few very good ones over the years, these are my current toys/money pits . I owned my first XB coupe when I was 17 it was my third car as I had 2 mazda capella's( both those were written off )
I have been collecting old fords both sedans & coupes for over 23 years,which was well before they became so expensive & collectable. Once you have owned a Ford coupe you are usually hooked on them.

this is an awesome thread. jsut for a little more info my XA Fairmont coupe was a 302/auto currently has no motor or box.

colour was summer gold, is now a custom purple with dark read pearl

and its current status is sitting at my folks house in vic waiting for me to get a garage up here and stop wasting my money on my XB so i can waste a LOT of money on the XA.

its probably going to be in that state for a long long time... im talking years, so perhaps "stalled project" might be an appropriat status for it.
