I'm using a normal dual shock controller, and trust me you don't suck! Just practise a lil! I'm not saying i'm a pro or anything but I got some tips for beginners:
First tip: Go flat out around the whole track unless that red brake thing comes up and starts flashing, if that thing doesn't come up then just go flat out because you can take most of the track at some decent speeds. Second tip: NEVER BRAKE WHILE ANY BIT OF YOUR CAR IS ON GRASS! If half your car is on grass and you brake then it'll be all over it's real hard to control it again. That's all I can think of now.

Yep dual shock controller here as well.
Thats my problem, i break even when the marker says not to as i have found it goes out onto the grass if not and i like to try and stay on the track at least *goes back to his CLK-GTR race car Chris

BTW I had another idea, who thinks it's a good idea to keep these GT4 comps on-going? No need for a prize or anything just for fun? Different track/car combo's each month or fortnight or something like that??

Yeah i like that idea of an ongoing comp.
I am more then happy to come up with them/organise times etc into spreadsheets and the what not as i suck at driving lol This one ends at the end of next month, so should we take it from there with a new one ? Chris

yeah i think that is a really good idea but i might go and get a steering wheel setup cause i have been told they are alot easier than the dual shock controller

Once I get the savings for a ps2 and gt4, I'll join in
For a few years I competed in many competitions on GT3times when I had a ps2. Mine blew up one day. Managed to hold almost a dozen world records on that site and finished third in a AU Falcon v8 supercar challenge comp Haven't been at the site for at least a year, wonder if my records still stand Back to square one though with this new one, bet it's even harder than the other one

First run on the ring and first run in an F6 8:39: 472 should be a lot better than that sitting in a capsul and using a logitech wheel. :(

Look what happens when you don't play this game for a few days. I've gone from 3rd to 10th. I'm know what I'll be doing tonight.

Oh and how about a quarter mile comp next time? I've got my STi running 08.035 on the bottle, fiddling with traction control and centre diff settings to try squeeze that extra .036 of a second out of it.
