The main problem we have is that it is the long weekend and there is a minimum night stay with most places.

yep thats what i found when i looked around, there was 1 place that said try closer to the date as they might be able to do 2 nights then, will find their name

I better pull my finger out and start organizing accomodation. In regard to driving up I am prefering to do so on the Friday evening and driving back Sunday evening to suit my work.

Been sending emails left,right and centre but I've stiked out 3 times so far.

Cruising Friday should suite most people,Marty and John can't come Friday and may not come if we don't go Sat.That leaves accom a problem cause most places are a minimum stay.

Don't know about Sunday night,shows on Sunday and most will be stuffed.

I might have to try doing 2 seperate bookings and look at hotels, going to be more expensive but it may be ourt only resort.

I dont care how much it cost to stay in SA it can be a motel were you can book per night.Also find out from the people going to SA,who is going Friday & who is going Saturday. Maybe 2 groups will have to travel up there.

I still have an entry pass available if anyone needs it. Shame about the accomodation dillema though. This year looks to be a very light affair as far as the ORSM camp goes. I wish I could still make it, but I have other affairs to sort.

I made a few more calls today about accom and hurray. I found something. Only downside is it's on the North side of Adelaide.

I've made a booking for 7x Std rooms which will sleep 2. Either a queen bed or 2 singles and 1x 4 star room for John cause he's got 3 people which will include 1xQueen and 1xsingle.

Price is $100 a night for standard and $125 for John which includes breakfast each day.

He didn't sound as though we needed a minmium stay so If some want to go Saturday or all go early Saturday morning I'm sure I can work something out.

I've made a pencil booking for the club and really need peoples thoughts by Wed/Thursday.

For me this trip is on a shoe string budget. So it's basically fuel there and back, food for the duration, Accom and hopefully a beer. I won't be able to attend any restaurant meals or the like. The company will be great, and time away from here will be priceless. Good enough me thinks.

Thats fine Kev. I'm easy with meals and I'm sure most of the other guys won't either.

I'm happy to do a nice barbie dinner most nights shouldn't cost you more than $10 a meal.

Accom will cost you roughly $100 a night. Are you coming by yourself? If so I might be able to work out another 2 bedroom which will be cheaper.

OK guys I've made the booking.

We are staying Saturday and Sunday Night.

The cost for Accom is $90 each which includes breakfast for both mornings. I will bring more details up at the meeting and talk to the board about how best to handle payment.

Details will be bought up in tonights meeting. Booking has been made for Sat/Sun night.

Just need to ask the board if they won't to send a cheque so everyone can deposit into the club or if it's easier for money to be sent to my account then I'll transfer.
