Mate you need to experience eastern seaboard heat. 33c in Sydney is twice as bad as 40 in Perth. Melbourne is similar to an extent, not as bad as Sydney but high temps in Melbourne are infinitely more painful than in Perth.

Guess us Melbournites better brace ourselves for the next few weeks then. We tend to cop Adelaides weather a few days later...Next weekend looks like it will be a total scorcher!!

They need another word between 'Very' and 'Hot' for that forecast. I'll give you a tip, it starts with a 'F' Enjoy! :

Lost power at 9:30 last night, got it back about early afternoon I think. The Ice Creams in the freezer haven't re-frozen fully yet and the ice blocks melted. Had the A/C running since 4pm and only just got the inside temp under 30. The power grid is struggling. Running the A/C and microwave simultaneously leads to hiccups in power delivery. I only needed 3 minutes from the microwave. So I'm running the fridge, A/C, PC (the essentials) and 1 light and I don't think they'll give me much more juice than that.

I will agree with you there mate, i reckon the hole in the ozone layer is directly above Hobart. I went down there the other year in December after having high 30s in Perth for weeks and being down the beach all the time and being real well tanned.... Was shooting a race event in Hobart and thought oh its only 25 I will be fine without sunscreen..... I went there brown and came back pink, absolultely unbelievable how strong the rays seem down there.

Your lucky. My little portable air con unit is struggling to knock 5 degrees off the temperature in my lounge room let alone the rest of my house. I'm worried my computer is going to burn up as it's in the back room and I'd say it's still about 40 degrees in here!

At least we aren't having any blackout or power issues where I am thank god. There is no way I could survive without at least a fan blowing some hot air on me.

The hot days dont worry me, it's the fact it doesn't cool down at night thats the killer. I'm putting off doing the dishes because I will end up dripping wet with sweat standing in front of the kitchen sink

Geez, I put off doing the dishes because I’m a lazy b******d. Besides that, she does a better job than me so she can do them all the time. :hihi:

50 degrees is retarded. I have never personally experienced that, and dont want to. Im struggling to cope with mid 40's. Considering free balling tomorrow.
