Not so much what people say about my car but a funny story regardless. I had only just got my liscence so I was a fresh young face and I was driving around in my 66 Galaxy (no rules on what a L and P plate could drive back then) I was at the lights and in the distance a hot looking women is walking up the footpath and I thought Wow thats alright. She kept walking closer to the car and eventuall came right up the car up pretty much let it all flop right into the passenger window, this woman was no longer hot and looked like a prostitute, then she said "Your car is hot, I could really use it for my business. Do you want to make extra money?" Me never being so nervous in my life, replied No its ok Ive got a job at woolies and took off.

New Edge GT-P 335 three weeks ago. Very first set of lights one minute after taking delivery. Dude next to me puts his window down, that a new one Boss ? Brand spanking I replied. Farkin Awesome Dude.
One hour later on the delivery run back home at a rest stop, two U.K. tourists What's that mate never seen one of those before ? Greatest Australian muscle car ever. 10 minutes later after showing them all over the car especially the engine, Wish we could get these in England. Back home, the norm after taking friends / relatives for a drive is what a expletive, expletive beast, its a monster, and similar. |

My first car was an XY done in red pepper, gt stripes, boot spoiler, 351/fmx/9". I wont call it a GT replica as it still had Falcon 500 badges on it lol. Anyway it was a hot car, this was late 1980s, I was about 19. Pulled into a petrol station just north of Auckland to fill up and this guy my age who worked there was all over me, as much in awe of someone our age owning such a car as the car itself. Went to pay for the gas and I had a $100 note, these were quite rare in NZ then and a lot of money for a 19yr old on my wages. This guy looked at the money, again at the car, his face just melted and he said "ohhh ****" with the station full of customers. Never forget it
Oh those stars above start with F and is four letters long. Didnt realise there was a language filter on these forums lol. |

Dont park that POS on my driveway!!!
When visiting a mate who loves kitten or bowtie logo's its all in fun though I respond in kind when he visits me.....usually something about decreasing the land values when you bring that POS into a decent suburb.

I had an HK Monaro. Read all about it here
Anyway... I picked up a girl I had just started seeing (it was 1998, and I was 19) and turned to her and said "isn't this thing just sex on wheels" to which she replied "yeah, really bad sex". Game set match to her. |

When I first got my Jeep someone said "Looks nice and shiny"
I would want to hope so, it was 24 hours off the showroom floor. 2 Other people said it looks like a Hummer. That's sort of an insult though, I don't have 28 inch wheels for starters. |

People seem to like the F6, I dont know how many I have told they dont call them typhoons anymore.
When overtaking I just see open mouths, and deflated ego's.

I was at a birthday party and a mate of mine turned up in his Torana muscle car. Its an awesome car, supercharged, show car.
There were a few girls at the party and a comment was made... "doesnt George have a job? why doesnt he upgrade to a modern car" |

Since Ive gotten my car back from the workshop the comments have become overwhelming. Although some true red blooded Holden fans cant look past my number plates, most tend to go along the lines of woah once they understand its a twin turbo.

After I tell people I have bought a DeLorean, the very first thing I get asked is "Oi mate, Have you got a Flux Capacitor?"
Guess I brought that one on myself by buying it lol

Probably the best "reaction" to a car I was driving was waaaaay back in 1982 just after I'd started driving. I had a tiny little 1953 Austin A-30 and also my beloved 1971 Charger. I'd been lapping the main street of Bundy in the Charger, but was running low on fuel, so took it home and got the Austin. Lapping the street, and saw some lovely ladies being chatted to by a couple of guys with a Monaro and a Torana. I parke nearby and talked to a mate of mine, and heard the guys asking if the girls wanted to go chuck a few laps with them in thier hot cars, and the girls called out to me and said they'd rather do a few laps in "that cute little blue car" instead.
It was nice of them, as they loved it, but by the look on the two guys faces as we drove off they weren't very happy with me... |

A passenger in a VP SS once asked "What are you doing here, I can fart faster than that piece of ****!"
I just laughed and passed on by in my turbo EB. :P Most car people I know haven't got a clue so I tend to ignore any comments made.

Just bought an EBII XR6.
Getting the typical "why did you buy a ford!? They are poo!" and "The holden V6 would thrash that any day..." Maybe later in the week I'll prove them wrong. I could care less what people think, I bought it because I like EA-D Falcons more than I do VN-VS Commodores. Its not that I don't like Holdens, its that I prefer those model of Falcon even though they have some annoying problems. Best one about the car though, my mate dropped off a Trivium poster for me I started the car up "Man, that sounds so good!"

In 1998 I bought a Toyota Starlet for the staff to use as a daily run-around. It was the first car that i'd ever bought new and use to wash it 2 or 3 times a week. One day i'm out the front of work washing it again, and the young bloke across the road sticks his head out the window and yells, "hey mate, it doesn't matter how much you water it, its just not going to grow"
I was quite offended,.................and couldn't stop laughing also. |

When I tell people I am modifying a magna they usually say something along the lines of "hahahahahahha why bother with a magna" or "don't forget your cardigan" or "FWD piece of ****"
usually around this time I show them photo's and give them a few details then they don't say much after that. |

'nice Charger', or
'nice Cobra', or 'is it genuine' (I generally answer yes its a genuine Falcon), or 'is it a phase three', or 'it's loud', or 'it's shiny', or 'bet it's expensive to run' etc etc The above are just a few of the general comments I get relating to my XB GS Falcon Coupe, a lot of young asian guys in ricers just look very very confused when they see or hear the 'ol coupe |
