Not that I have had as yet *touch wood*. If you send feedback to HTC and repeatedly do it they might get the hint and do an update. I know my phone used to crash randomly (I mean randomly) and hasn't since the update.

Back to apps, I've gotta wait til I get home and connect via WiFi because EA Nederlands has released a game called Real Racing 2. From the screens it looks bloody awesome but is a 600mb download.

I've also found recently that there are alot more developers coming over to the Android platform and releasing some awesome apps that were only available on iFail. Seems like they've had enough of being told what and how they can develop their software.

Any one here using an App to track and record fuel usage / average fuel used / kilometers travelled etc etc.

I'm after something that will graph all your figures and tell you your economy and costs associated with fueling up each time?

I've had a quick look in the Market and there is lots to choose from, so I was hoping someone here is happy with one they are using before i start trying them all!

Cheers

I know it's a bit late, but when mine was updated (HTC Incredible S) the default internet would last from 10-60 seconds before having to 'force close'. Biggest pita. I downloaded another internet called opera it has worked perfect.
'HTC Sense' also force closed a few times, and had to restart itself, but that only seemed to happen with the old internet being used. Also the gallery doesn't work, I have to go to the camera and go to the gallery that way.
Other than that, it has been a good improvement. And the battery life improved also which was good.

Lol... like it going missing and then you find it hours later?

Last word from HTC too is that Ice Cream Sandwich is going to start being rolled out soon to the Sensation phones, followed by the Desire HD and S, also the Evo3D and a couple more that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Not an app question as such. But with my old iPhone I could save pics from bookface or the net ie something etc by
holding my finger on the pic. I can't seem to work it out on this phone. It's a HTC Velocity

God yes it is. I kept trying to beat my best scores. Only ever got a century once.

Telstra is going to release its version of ICS for the SGS2 April. Not that I'd know cause my phone is still in the shop and it's been a week now.

Draw something

Sort of like pictionary

Person A gets handed a word they have to draw
Person B gets I think 12 letters to choose from, gotta figure out what it is.
Process repeats. Fun game.

I've come to the conclusion the only good thing about the SGS2 is the speed in which it does things.

Everything else about it is pathetic. HTC Desire HD > SGS2 app wise by a bloody long shot.

I need the following apps replaced, open to suggestions.

- Music. The music app Samsung has one there auto levels the song playing which really ****** me off.
- Video. It says the SGS2 can play mp4. Like **** it can, I get an error trying to playback. I downloaded Video Player Pro and it skips more than a 7 year old with a jump rope.

Also alot of the apps that came with the DHD you have to download through Play for the SGS2.

I play .mp4s all the time on the SGS2 video player.

Although .... for something that plays everything.
VLC Player is good.

I use Poweramp for music playback though ... so much adjustability for levels .... it's great.

If you do not like the standard player on your Android phone, download this.

I will gladly pay the $4.50 when the trial is up (two weeks) because the options available for playback and enhancement is unreal. Also something I have not encountered in mp3 playback is seemless song change. Usually for me it takes a second or so for the new song to start but skip a song or start a new one, plays straight away. Also it does not chew much battery either (charged fully to 100%, it is now sitting at 95% after 45 minutes play time)

On another topic re: video playback. I downloaded VLC Player and it skipped worse that Video Player Pro. When I copy mp4 files to the card Windows 7 asks me if I want to convert it first so does anyone else get that with their SGS2?

I get that too. I just ignore it and copy across. Generally I use RealPlayer for videos as it plays most formats well.

Got the same error as with the standard video player.

I'm going to try converting overnight and see if that makes a difference.
