When you refer to all people by the car they drive, eg you know the guy he drives the red BA XR8 lowered with wheels. Or when i talk about my crook knee refering it to having a worn cv joint.

When you move to bathurst just so a lap around the track can become part of the commute home from work (even if it is a few kms out of the way)
& then get comments from the people that walk around the track every day "why do you dive around here all the time" If I have to explain, you wouldnt understand. |

When you buy an XR50T for a daily driver but just cant bring yourself to do it,so you buy a crappy old telstar to do the daily dutys and the XR50 becomes the car for special trips.

When you chose to drive a non air conditioned XB coupe on a 43 degree day, even though you could have driven other cars with air con instead. Yep, took my coupe out around town a few times today, and I don't regret it one bit...

When the vehicle you take to work everyday has more output at the rear wheels - than a V8 supercar does at the engine......., and despite paying 1.70 per lt for fuel..... you still grab its keys and not the 4cyl Quattros to run down the shops.....

This is my favourite thread by far it reconfirms that my behaviour towards cars and my car is normal and that all the people who think otherwise are in fact the weird people.

No don't fool yourself into thinking we're normal, we are the weird ones. Got to drive a camry or a smart car to be normal.

When i proposed to my missus, the Radiator blew up...
...then exactly one year later, the gearbox pooped it's self. Perhaps I'm cheating on my car?

When you get annoyed that the car you pull up behind is dirty so you cant see your car's reflection.
When you can spot a 'faker' (from various manufacturers) from over 100m away, and have different classes of fakes ranging from, "That's just wrong" to "that's a good job, but they just need...".
