when the hottest thing a schoolboy could get his hands on was a copy of "MAN" magazine
(printed in B/W on newspaper quality paper)

Or chucking the Forkie a couple of copies of Playboy (apparently hard to get in QLD then) so you got bumped to near the front of the loading Queue.

The "Kings Cross Whisper" was an absolute "Must Read" in Sydney in the seventies - Just nothing that you couldn't buy or get for free advertised in this paper

When Fish N Chips were wrapped up in newspapers, and people were getting sick from the Ink. Or if you had chicken more than once a year, you would tell the street about it. Or when you couldn't get a beer or buy petrol after 6pm. Or when you could go to a pub and get a billy of beer, then walk past all the horses tied up out the front. Or if you saw a female driving a car, you`d stop and pinch yourself. Or when the Government would come and confiscate your truck tyres to help the war effort in WW2.

When you reference Monty Python or D Generation etc. in a snappy and humorous retort and get blank stares from everyone under 35.
Hands up who knows who Wayne and Arther Dodgy are?
