The started up in the late 50's making speed equipment to hot up various run of the mill European (mostly French) cars and didn't started seriously making their own cars in significant volume until the mid 60's.

Most road testers loved the looks but complained about the poor internal finish (glue drips etc) and poor ergonomics.

It has the same engine as some Holden Monaros of the same era and it was essentially a decision by GM not to supply any further engines that killed the car. GM then started selling a neo clone of it.
