Touch wood all a ok in the end Fox all the best. I'll pass on one that occured last night as well re one of the fsmily. There we were celebrating our eldest son's bday dinner (even better having some fam joining us due to restrictions loosening) my wife gets a sms from one of her sisters we are close to their 13yr old fit son staying at a friends place had suddenly gone all dizzy gasping for air - they called the ambos thankfully got him under control rushed to hosp. Only my bro inlaw could enter hosp covid rules so you can imagine how my sister inlaw was feeling waiting outside. Straight to intensive care and scans etc ends up its Wolff Parkinso - White syndrome. (yes thankfully can/will be treated) So their night and the boys were one of those you never wish for as a parent. Thankfully cardioligist has it all under control, the poor fella has to stay in hosp procedure done next week. The poor kid like any active one having been locked up for 3mths + finally gets out and about and now this, you can't pick it eh. Yep thankfully he'll a ok but a day in a life says it all.

A biz mate of my bro quoted few weeks ago $50k or abouts, he's staying put for now. We just done some flight checks Syd/LA/Vegas return. Bro is booked in I'm not going - he's mad imo but cost was under $4k. He's flying out Nov 2 or abouts. I'm not risking being around all those zombies despite being vaxxed at this stage. Worse is being on their domestic flights, I'm sure all seats are full. No way, early next year hopefully.

From my perceived observation most people do not want to be locked down anymore, they want their freedoms whether right or wrong. |

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT October 20th 2021.
Note: As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting. 2,120 new cases for Australia and 19 deaths so the CMR is 1.055%. 60 new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 0.537%. The UK had 48,245 cases yesterday and 179 deaths for a CMR of 1.619%. 84,940 new cases in the USA yesterday and 2,671 deaths sees CMR at 1.630%. Other notable points: The USA passes 46M cases; Europe passes 62M cases; Belarus (2,076); ... recorded new highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day. No countries move above the 90th percentile for the 10 day period and none drop below.

To get 3 seats classic rewards Business both ways was pretty lucky. I didn't look at economy prices, but the same flights Bus tickets on the sale fare was about $25k all up, I would never pay that.

I almost missed it but Victoria reached another (sad) milestone yesterday in passing the 1,000 mortalities mark.

As you know its some 76yrs since WW11 ended. My kids as much as they love the family history and all and respect their grand parents parents etc lap it all up BUT in the big general picture many cannot relate period. You could sit down and do a great presentation let alone all the info available in todays world on the topics and it goes in one ear and out the other. Not all of them but in general for sure. They have never had to suffer - thankfully not might I add BUT this is their sufferance to them - todays plague - last 2yrs years. To them it is big for how can you expect most millineals to relate of the past 76yrs ago let alone many other before. These kids to day right now would feel absolutely ripped. Thats all they know but they'll survive, some would be learning from this besides being a good lesson for many of us adults might I add. I'm not going to judge all as if their idiots, thats not fair, looking down on them going, you know what sunny, back in my days and my parents days yaddayaddayadda, many will appreciate things as they mature, don't we all.

From a Jail Wardens point of view, prisoners do not want to be locked up anymore, they too want their freedoms, and as you know all people in jail are innocent, just like the victims of covid! Just get on with it, that's it, no more or less. |

Actually you’re in a good position (not that you wanted to be there) to impartially critique the contact and management aspects of your isolation, because you’re not easily rattled. |

Those prices make cargo ship bunks look like a good alternative.

Talking with alot of our suppliers for a mine site shipping has gone out of control as well.
Delays of months, costs x10 what they were not long ago, cant get containers because they are all sitting in Australia (??)....2 years into Covid you think we would be over it by now but there seems to be a good 6 months in the world pulling its finger out again.

China doing well re all this I tell you. Lead times went from 60 to 120days for ages now. Container costs have doubled and for some way more. Chinese factories have issued price rise's last 12mths, just recently I know another company different industry copped 15% increase. We had another 6% issued last month. Everyone is ordering double you used to and you still can't get enough talking here. I also do a bit of drop shipments to other countries, they are experiecing the same. Its crazy.
