I agree the interior is nicer, but by a mile? No.

The Honda's cruise control up hill struggles.

the Honda lacks a digital speedo so u cant dial in an exact speed.

The level of trim seen in the GTE and F6E really should be in the G6E.

It is odd that for once Ford have been able to keep things quiet about an update...and its the last one. I wish they would just release a teaser pic.

Whatever. I may get some things wrong and let my opinions get in the way, nobody's perfect. But my sources are bona fide, I trust them, and I am sure as ***** not going to compromise any of them just because people dont like/agree with the things I have said.

Will be VERY interesting tomo. Other than showing a cgi of the next falcon, I have a feeling it will be a big let down with not much info about fpv/xr8 etc but ford harping on about mustang/fiesta/mondeo

Hope I'm wrong though.

Mustang / Fiesta / Mondeo are the future of FoA, so they would do well to harp on about these, considering Falcon is on life support. Nothing they do for Falcon is going to save it, so why WOULD they make a big deal of it?

If the customer is only interested in the Falcon and its dead in 2016 and they don't like Fiesta/Mondeo/Focus what's the point retaining them. They idea is to get new or returning customers to buy the cars you will actually have available to sell

The idea is to get the current customers coming in for Falcon and then show them the other cars and try to get them to switch. You show how the other models can do what the falcon can (and maybe better). If you dont look after the falcon buyer, they wont even walk into the showroom.

I'm hoping to hear plenty about the Falcon, Mustang and any other future products.

I'm only in my mid 20's so as much as i love my Falcons, its highly likely that my life is going to have alot more Mustangs in its future.

They are delusional if they think that Mondeo will save them and grow in sales.

Word on the back streets is that the Dodge Charger is getting ready to gallop in, to give an alternative 4 door RWD vehicle. It will have the same interior as the 300c to save on costs ect.

I think those customers who would have looked at a Falcon (all 6000 per year of them on currently monthly sales) will probably be more likely to look at a Commodore rather walk into a Ford delaership any more and to be honest I think Ford are fairly happy for that to be the case.

Being able to trade on a "Euro designed and engineered" line will bring a whole new breed of customer into the showroom that wouldn't go near a "Falcon Motor Company" dealership (even though FoA haven't been that for many years now).

I really do feel that the perception of Falcon in the wider marketplace (as oppsed to here among enthusiasts) keeps a lot of people out of dealerships.

Agree, but spoke to an xfpv bloke on the w/e and fpv is still "go" until 2016 apparently. I can't see how that will work given that it's back under the Ford roof now?? Finishing with a Ford Falcon just makes sales logic

Sadly I agree... but you dont want those die hard falcon buyers to just walk into a Holden dealership. You want them to come to Ford and keep them as well. The new falcon can bring them in, and the new products can sway them or keep them for years to come. The people who dont like Falcon already know its on its way out so might come to see "what else Ford make".

Its still about keeping the 6000 sales... and to be honest, many people might be waiting it out for the new Falcon so that will increase sales. Also remember, cross shoppers will be buying the new commodore for now so the recent sales figures shouldnt be taken as this is what to expect with the new Falcon. There will be improvement, just not as much as people would hope. Thats still maybe 15000 - 20000 sales to keep in the Ford Family.

well thats what effective marketing is for, to convince them otherwise and change perceptions. What if in years to come Focus/fiesta turbos become the new hoon car of choice, do they give up on that too ? Any product will live and die by the way its marketed

I doubt that Ford is sharing much info with its own employees or dealers ahead of tomorrow's presentation.
Everything is locked up tight as a drum.

And, I get the feeling that we'll only see a shaded view of the 2014 car, just more drip feed stuff to drive us all nuts..
