Same names and same old bs and nitpicking. Time a few here try constructive criticism and leave the schoolyard BS at the door.

It takes two to tango,we do have respect but to those who respect others.Cant see the point in going down the constructive road when you just get banned for varied opinions.Just my thoughts.

Why would brad want to speak to anyone else? He has an engine builder capable of delivering whatever he wants right here.

We'll make the car go quicker, I can guarantee that. That engine is still well underdeveloped in many area's. The engine still sports stock 208 heads for crying out loud! Hardly exotic by any means and probably not the best choice on that combo but its what brad bought so that's what I had to work with.

The cam is under 260 @ 50 too.

Yeah,it's a real race engine....you guys keep telling yourselves that.

There is so much potential left in that combo and we've just started playing with it too.

only seen 1 street car that has run extremely close, the lil 308 Torana of Mario Teuma, we hired the track for a private test day, he run it up on his engine dyno the day before. he told us the absolute best the car could go was 10.19, off the dyno it ran 10.22, changed jets etc to suit for the day n it ran a 10.20

if you are within 1/10th and 1-2mph (day with similar air, temp etc) you are doing extremely well and the car is setup very well.

How does removing the front sway bar improve the ET?

Allows the weight transfer to shift better to the rear.

By weight transfer issues do you mean traction problems?

It well help get more weight over the rear tires so if one has traction issues this is a cheap place to start at as a traction aid.

Do you feel the converter has more in it but you are not confident in it hooking up?

Im not sure, ive never driven a car with a converter bigger than this one at 4200
It hooks up well now so we havnt tried anything
The caltracs were just set to a base setting, the shocks were set to number 3 & we set the ET radials to 18lbs
So i guess if I did put a bigger converter in it there is scope for adjustment if the bigger hit off the line caused loss of traction

So is there any point undoing the front sway bar if the car hooks up?

Watching the videos your car leaves nice and clean, so cannot see issues with caltrac adjustment, is it at full stall on the start ?

how much does the car weigh? what do you think the car should be 60'in?

i dunno bout you guys but that is a pretty damn good 60' as it is, even if u pick up 1/10th in the 60', it doesn't explain your 22-23mph back half, you should be at least up around 27mph.

Re: 393 build
I'm doing it because I can't leave them as is. Sure, they will produce the mumbo needed but i'm trying to finesse the ports a little to make the combo better than what it could be by using them OOTB.
Not doing a full port so to speak either, just working on giving the ports some texture and some mild port work. Manifold is getting the same treatment but a little more extensive. No point on porting the heads if the manifold can't keep up.

Cheers,
Steve.B
