I think best to go back to factory for services in case they upgrade the ecu too. The UK forums have said the dealers can't tell it's been modded, but they can tell at the factory if it ends up there for any reason.

Well, it's on the way. Loaded onto the Toreador yesterday Europe time.
It's now here: 26.77503 -15.70982 on the way to Melbourne. Already been to Antwerp, South Hampton and Osthaven in Germany. Will probably also stop in SA to pick up some Focus' so it's stopping all stations. Due not into Melb mid May, and to the dealer at the end of May.

The lease was up on 4 Jan, so that also meant the rego was due on 4 Jan. I'm happier to pay rego in May than early Jan.
I also took out another short lease, so it doesn't matter now. On the up side, my brother is buying it, so the longer I keep it the cheaper it gets for him. Nice brother, me.

Mick, due here on 15 May. The ship is Toreador out of UK. Should be near Melb I'd say.
I'm not taking it up though, as we are having twins in September so I'm now looking at the diesel Territory. They aren't due in dealers until 31 May, making it nearly since months since I put more order in. Add this to the three months I waited to get my MA, that's nine months of waiting for Fords.

Mick, the decision was made about 6 weeks ago when we were told we were having twins. Just need a bigger car, so the Territory ticks a lot of boxes.

Apstar, I don't get it. Would have looked forward to seeing it.
I moved address told the dealer and haven't seen it for about 2 years.

Dusty, hopefully your Territory gets delivered before the twins, congratulations btw. Have you looked at Falcons or are you sold on the extra storage room? I prefer the driving dynamics of my old Fairmont Ghia over the Territories but most the guys I know with them seem to love them.

Never driven a Territory and it's the rear seat where I can get three seats was the clincher. I was looking at the G6E Turbo, but now I've got to think about a two seater pram. I had a BA and that was a great car, but the dip in the boot wouldn't have made packing easy. Rear set and easy of access that's what did it for me.
Thanks for the congratulations, too. Going to be an adventure with three under three!

I drove a Territory rental a couple of years ago. Very thirsty but the diesel should really help. But I was quite surprised how small the load area was, I'm sure you'd get more in a Mondeo.
They are nice to drive though for a 4-wheel drive, would be my choice if I needed some off-road capability. And best wishes for your twins, should be quite an adventure!

Turns out that my Mondeo arrived at the dealer today. Apparently it looks real good in Midnight Blue. So if you're after one give Andrew at Etheridge a call.
Due to a minor traffic incident yesterday, mine is at the panel beaters now, back Tuesday afternoon. Hello, Camry! Great time for it to happen before it goes in and the new Territory turns up. But at least myartner and child are OK.

The guys at Hertz said to me 'Camry or Epica'. I choose Camry. No one was the winner.

Magpie, I think the difference is that the territory is taller and the Mondeo longer is the boot. What do you think?

The Mondeo has a great boot, and something I'll miss.
Nice and long and flat.

Went out to Etheridge on Saturday to check out the new Territory and signed the contract. Titanium Diesel RWD, in 'edge' with, mats, spats, tow bar, bonnet protector and front tint. Pretty happy with the price, and Andrew was great.
He did take me out the back to see a certain Midnight Blue 2011 Mondeo Titanium wagon. Looks the goods, and the crappy iPhone photo doesn't do it justice.

Nice purchase Dusty. Those territory diesels will sell like hotcakes me thinks. And yes, pity about the mondeo - it was a very nice car. Is there a way to click on your photo to see it full size?

Is there a way to put it back on the boat and drop it off in Auckland?

I stuffed the photo up and posted up a small version. It was a very nice looking car and with the windows tinted would have looked ace.
The Mondeo has been a great car, and hopefully the Territory will prove to be just as good. Strange they won't have the Titaniums in NZ. you could always import one privately!
