I can confirm that the Eonon branded head unit won't work with a 2011 Focus Zetec :( I sent it back to H.K. they have tested it and it still works fine, it looks like the Canbus system in the 2011 is different to the 2008 - 2010 models even though they are the same shape and have the upgraded lights etc.... They said they would look at trying a unit with the later Canbus and see what happens. Hopefully they'll work it out and I may try again if they are successful in finding a fix

I don't really care about ausmaps, Id just be using google navigation.
I just wish I could find one with a bit more grunt behind it, 1cpu at 1ghz isn't much. |

He suggested every 3months putting the battery on the smart charger overnight. I'll try this in future. That said, the warranty on the new battery is 3 years now. |

Hey all,
I bought an LT XR5 turbo Focus for the missus. Traded in her Mazda 3 sp23 for it. Silver, immaculate, 45,xxxks and 100% stock up until last week when I had it tuned. With KnN cold air intake and SCT tune its making bang on 175kw at the fronts. I LOVE the car. If I knew they were this good I would have had one years ago. Since having the car for about 3 weeks now, I haven't driven my FG GT :S lol. The focus is just a fantastic little car and so much fun to just throw around. Looking online at all the upgrade packages and parts its really got me hooked on this little car more so than my FPV. Being the missus car, I don't want to get too carried away with it. She loves it now with just the tune and air intake and only wants an exhaust for the note. Im getting Bilsteins and eibach springs, swaybars and nitto rubber to improve all handling and stance. Also looking at either a pumaspeed ultimate miltek or hitech exhaust and pumaspeed stg3 intercooler, plus a few other little things. The KnN will go for a Pumaspeed cai eventually. Im also hooked on the Pumaspeed website lol. Definitely getting some new wheels for it when the rubber needs replacing and will end up with a few little body mods like carbon inserts and little things to make it a little more personal. She wants a stripe kit, so that may(will) happen. Thanks all will have pics up soon. Matt

Slightly different, and a little bit of gutter rash but it will be fine. I'm waiting for my wheels to come in, then I'll book her in for a service and my sway bar/shortened shocks to be fitted to her. I'm 5000km overdue for a service. |

Why pay Ford $690 for DRL's when you can get these delivered for under $100, complete with controller/harness.
Mine arrived today (19 days from date of order) but won't be fitting them for a couple of weeks, going fishing. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/EMS-F...764682920.html |

Cheers, I was skeptical too, it's done in plastidip so can easily be pulled off, I like it how it stands out compared to blending on now though. May have to get it done properly one day..

I don't know about that! I liked how your car looked here. The dark wheels really suit I think

While not much I received my Soliport ELM 327 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner.
I plan on using it with a replacement Android based head unit. Looks like I will be waiting for a while as I want something that has stock android and project butter on it. Shame the ODBII device is so BIG! |

Hey Tom, not sure yet mate, have to wait and see what price I get for the Focus first. I've got to go auto for the missus so it will have to have a bit of grunt, at this stage I'm leaning towards a Forester XT wagon

I didn't use the controller that came with the drl's because I couldn't stop them flashing on & off with the engine running and low beam on. Funny thing is they didn't flash with the low beam on and ignition on, they performed as they should do, that is they were off, but start the engine and they would come on and flash. Ended up cutting the controller off, used the supplied wiring and a change over relay I had and all ok. Let us know how you get on with supplied controller. If you need to use a change over relay I can supply wiring diagram. |

A-ha, a bit of a change. A Kuga might be in a similar space - the last model has the old Volvo T5, as you probably know. Not sure how the grunt of that compares with the new model's Ecoboost, but presumably uses a bit more fuel.
