The HSV DTS is a kitted up clubsport for the track......If the typhoon had the same sort of modifications you would see no more HSV......it would be bye bye.....

Lot of the times from Motor are in next to new cars that havnt been run in yet, and the 12.9 you mention was from a car that has an aftermarket air filter if that makes much difference. So its not completely stock but close to it.

but the typhoon does, so its not bye bye...put the cars on their merits, not 'if u do this and this to it'....phoon quicker in a straight line and the SS is quicker than the phoon around a track....deal with it

The filter isnt much of a modification, any extra flow they give (if any) only allows more crap into your engine....i would go with the paper element, but thats just my opinion.

Back to the VE - just wait and see...could be crap could be good....but i think in ford forums its already crap to 80% of people.

Brendan if those pictures are anything to go by, then the VE will be a big success.
Of course though it may not be successful for other reasons, fuel, price, etc.

why does everyone have to put s**t on photoshopd pics... it could look nothing like that... or could be exactly the same, and someone who "designed" the photoshop image would claim they guessed what it loked like... who gives a rats... cant people just wait until it is revealed... and whats going toappen with the falcon? are people going to come up with their ideas of what it will or should look like, and then pick thigns out on it when its released anyway? theyre just interpretations based on little hints given from carbrad mules...

Wow. Cool.

No I wasn't asked permission, they may have asked approval from the moderators, but then again, we link their images and quote text, I don't mind them quoting me. Certainly will drum up more interest in the forum which can only be a good thing.

In fact it’s interesting. The more press we get the more we are perhaps able to influence manufacturers and products. I see it as a really (potentially) positive thing. As customers or potential customers or as enthusiasts it means our words can carry that bit further up the corridor.

But I guess I now feel I might proof read my posts for typo's and gramma in case it ends up on headlines in tomorrow’s paper.

You really have to read the content of the thread to understand it, I dont see why we cannot discuss a major upgrade here to competitor cars

How true, a lot of Holden forums had posts relating to the BA falcon rumours when it was in the works...We're all ford fans who want to discuss something relevent to us thats all

Its just called sharing similar interests mate.

I could just imagine how boring any brand based car forum would be, if every single bit of discussion was just about that brand.

Talking about other brands adds a sense of interest into a forum and provides great conversation. IMO
