Two more photos just surfaced of our Australia day weekend, they don't feature cars but it was a car weekend and I want to embarrass the guys
For those wondering, we stayed at the Wollombi Barnstay http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Vacati...wcastle_N.html #wollombibarnstay And yes my review is quite accurate The setting and the Barn are beautiful, the area peaceful and the view from the deck breathtaking by day……. At night however the building just didn't cool down (not sure what the owners can do about that, but I would have thought with all the gaps in the walls it would have been aerie, but it was stuffy and still in the bedrooms, and some of the windows wouldn't open. But the real problem for our group was the bats, we chased 6 - 10 out of the place but they keep coming back, and when you lay in bed you can hear them scratching in the cavity's. But for me the final straw was the Bat in our bed room that I shared a pillow with I went to bed earlier than our group so picture me a 178cm tall balding firefighter in my forties weighing the wrong side of 100kg running through the barn in nothing but undies with a pillow that had a bat on it screaming like a little girl. As one of the other guys is calmly trying to convince his 6yo daughter that it was safe for her to go to sleep as we chased all the bats out of the house earlier (his other 13yo daughter didn't believe him and took a pillow and slept in the car). Other points to note. 1/ The freezer wouldn't freeze (not good when you want to give your kids ice blocks on a 34* day I suspect even though the freezer was on its coldest setting it simply couldn't cope with the ambient temperature as things seemed to get close to freezing over night. 2/ The BBQ lit, but wouldn't get hot, the cylinder was full but I suspect there was another problem with the unit. Luckily for us, we had our own BBQ as we had a large group and didn't want to count on a small BBQ for the group. 3/ No mobile reception, this would be a plus to many people, but as I have a sick relative at home, I needed to be contactable had we had known this we would have made another contact arrangement for our relative prior to the trip. 4/ the big open deck is beautiful and the large table suited us perfectly, but it is never in the shade so on 34* days you just can’t use it. 5/ The beds in the upstairs loft are "out of bounds" with "No Access" marked on the stairs / ladder so please consider this when booking as you will be down (3 double bunks) 6 available beds from the total number in the barn. I always like to end on a positive. My 13yo son loved the 3 hole golf course, and out door chess board and my daughter and her friend had a ball exploring the grounds It's a lovely barn with loads of charm, put simply a few things like the bats and the BBQ spoiled it for us.

How good is it travelling over to Tassie.. Though we had a rough night on the boat and I was convinced I was going to see my car turned in to a crushed can.

Haha yeah same mate!
The trip over was very rough. The trip back was as calm as though, you wouldn't know you were on the water most of the time. Beautiful place, and I only saw a little in my 4 days.

out for a cruise with some friends to check out some old forgotten race tracks like the old Catalina Park raceway & the Hartley Vale circuit near Lithgow. Racing legend Bob Skelton also came along to tell us a few stories about what it was like to race there back in the day

Awesome picks guys, let's get this thread back up and running.
I can't speak for everyone but I don't care if it's a 2016 or 1916 build if your out cruzing I want to see it posted up. It's more about the passion than the car it's self

not really a cruize the weather sucked **** on Sunday in Sydney)
Anyhow, on Sunday a few of us got together to get everything ready for the Pariahs road trip to the Mudrun we got the cars out anyway though I was making some new fenders for the BBQ trailer Massive fail though becasue with the weather the bloody things wouldn't go off so we ended up just fitting Old Pontiac tail lights to the existing 27 Chev rear fenders that were already on it As we'll be camping in winter we decided to make a fire drum My mate Hewey was in charge of this And of course we had to test it out if your coming to the mudrun or you see us in your travels be sure to say hi

the weekend just gone we headed up to East Gresford Show ground for the Mud Run
A mate of mine had started building a Small Block Chev Powered Commer for the Salt but never got there before relocating to NZ, so we took it to play in the mud instead we left at about 7:30 on Friday Heading up the road that never ends (the Putty Rd) to Singleton We got to Singleton topped up on Fuel and did some shopping embracing our inner Ron Swanson and bought the place out of Bacon then it was up to the Mud Run This was very cool, think of some of the coolest old cars you can think of going stupid in the mud and out side the track there were plenty of other cool cars as well we got the Commer off the trailer and set up camp And grab dinner (yep you guessed it meat) the next day it was time to stage up and let rip While we were lined up for another run, we were approached (Like quite a few others in odd cars) by one of the street machine reporters I guess thats because he saw this as he walked by Here he is with Damo the guy who built it, I suspect he's grown a little tired of Damos BS by the look on his face A random club photo (Love this photo) then it was another night of good food good drinking and bands before packing up and heading home the next day I cant take credit for the photos, they were taken by my mate Hewey Heweys posted heaps more on his Kustom Kulture page if your interested https://www.facebook.com/kustomkultu...27280497551435

Went up to Spicers Gap a week ago:
The road up, the back way: Up the top: The veiw: Yesterday, I went into the lower rage area west of Gatton, up a narrow road with lots of crossings of the same small creek, the road turned to gravel, then I came to another crossing and went down into the creek. The far Bank reared up in front of me and I saw this sign:

this isn't out for a cruize, more a group of guys getting together to work on a car
The Commer that has been the focus of our automotive shenanigans lately, had to have an engine change. Some of you may have seen it advertised on various pages on face book After countless clowns offering silly money for a van than includes an engine that owes in much more than the asking price of the van. We spoke with him and agreed to remove and ship the engine and trans too him and he agreed to leave the van with us. As a few of us are going to an event in October we needed to swap it out (if we killed the SBC we would be in trouble) so we started yesterday So out with the old And in with the new Frank even made the old ****ter look pretty we also wanted to get rid of the pizza cutters off the back so enter some nice fat slicks (have another pair of treaded tyres on rims to change out as required but they have a larger rolling diameter so the wheels arches are a little larger than required for the slicks)

Ive been slack and haven't posted up any Pariahs shananigans here's a post I stole from Hewey that he posted on ozrodderes from our family weekend
The Pariahs club hold an annual run each Australia Day long weekend. It's always a great laid back weekend, with a real focus on being family friendly. This year we headed north from Sydney to Norah Head on the Central Coast, to a caravan park in walking distance to the beach. My wife's '38 Ford Sedan A mates '46 Ford coupe Stopping for essential supplies! By this stage we'd met up with another mate in his '56 Buick The barbeque/esky trailer all loaded up 8) All set up at the caravan park The first day we visited the Gosford Car Museum. The guy I stole this post off grabbed a lift with a mate in his coupe, we took the back route with the quieter roads The museum is located in an old Bunnings building. The collection is that big its flowing out into the carpark, and is valued at $75M  Inside the museum now, the first thing that hits you is a GT 40 Ford Porsche anyone? Or classic veedub Not a genuine one, but an all metal body and enough genuine parts to be just as good The museum in the past had bought the Rambler Museum from WA Miura. On days like these... TVR next to a Fiat resort car Jags LaFrance fire truck Dodge Viper Bare alloy Roller Aussie Invader III - Good for a lazy 1,028kmh  Aussie iron GTS-R Bathurst spec Charger De Haviland Rapide powered speedster - 10L straight 6 8) No one does style like Mopar Looks like Doc from Cars had a sex change 186 powered Bolwell 8) And that was about it for the museum The next morning the the I stole this post from and his wife cruised up to the local cafe on the cruisers. Mine is a Taboo Tiki with artwork by Von Franco The next day we realised the trailer had a flat, so we went looking to get it fixed. Cruising in the back of a pillarless coupe is pretty cool 8) Back at the caravan park that night, after a swim at the beach The 46 coupe couple cooked up a storm with a home made seafood paella. So damn good And that was it for the year, the next morning we all went our separate ways, to plan for next year's adventure
