The XR8 optioned rims above are a very popular semi standard way of utilising the Brembo package

Jarard you were just a little late in posting that info about the Icon Zest, I had actually sent an enquiry about a fortnight ago to Icon to confirm if they were Brembo compatible as their website had the standard 19" rims fitting but not the staggered sets. When they didn't get back to me I decided not to take the risk and ended up buying a set of Dark argents from you. Not to worry still very happy with the argents which arrived yesterday!!

Speedy are usually good in noting which of their wheels have Brembo clearance or not in their catalogs.
It's how I found both my set of track and street wheels. Speedy Cobalt 18x8,and Speedy Inferno 19x8+19x9.5

Can anyone confirm if the new FG MKII 19" wheel that comes with the Luxury Pack upgrade will clear 6&4pot Brembo's or Harrop's Monobloc 4pot brake kit?
Thanks. Last edited by fusion_m8; 11-09-2012 at 09:26 AM. |

Thanks, I was seriously hoping to avoid that... guess I got no choice. Its either trying to fit the wheel on a Brembo kitted car or asking Parts and Service at one of the Ford dealerships.

I do, with 275 rubber. Some even have gone a little further with a 10" rear and wider tyres (needs careful choice of offset and pumping the guards a bit).

Guess I was sucked in when Ford/FPV said in MOTOR Magazine that it's "impossible" to fit a 9 or 10 inch rim with tyres larger than a 245 section without major cutting/welding/redesign of the rear suspension.

Vision Legend 5 20" Chrome
20x8.5 front offset +33 fitted with 245/30/20 these seem to fit well nohitting anywhere. 20x9.5 rear +38 fitted with 275/30/20 these do require Guard rolling andsome pumping. But do deliver traction a lot of work if you do not need traction thou. Brakes are 6/4 Brembo's Fronts miss by only 3mm or so Rears by agood 20mm+ Hub Centric rings need to fit correctlythese rims came with plastic ones (I cannot see how these would real be anygood being plastic) and there is too much clearance around the ford hub thiswill and is causing a slight vibration at 100K, I have ordered aluminium ones to be made. This car is A BA has Pedders' Sports Ryder Suspension Low with matchingshocks and Struts. This link was handy inunderstanding the wheel and tyre size and it impacts. http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/vis...ize-calculator I have found this forum agreat source of info, so I thought lots of details could help somebody. |
