Somehow, I think if you don't take advantage of it now, you'll be digging deeper into your pocket in 2010.

much below retail . however new is better . so give me a pm and lets talk turkey. preferably the car will be sold to a fleet company and i will lease it off them . or i buy private . then i will lease it .
The car has to be privately owned and you strike a deal with the car yard, all the employee does is provide you with a discount coupon.

Guys you have to go to a dealer tell them about the friends offer and get a quote the best deal you can negotiate is up tp you and then get that voucher from your friend

Thanks to the member who offered me a voucher, wish I could have used it though I am still maybe going to change as I can now get a voucher through someone at work if I need it

Hahah, it's definitely wasn't my choice of colour either. Having said that, it looks nice with the cashmere combo (G6ET).

Can you get one built for you Jeff? What colour are you thinking?

Price discrimination or what! This kind of annoys me as I recently bought an XR6 in Sydney at market price :( If I knew about this four weeks ago I would have tried to find a Ford employee with a coupon...

If I had a coupon I could probably trade and end up better off. Just my luck I guess.

The pricing on an XR6 is not near as good as the higher spec models. If you drove a good deal you shouldn't feel too violated !

Not sure about that, as last year when i was in the market for a newbie (ford employee), i was quoted $35k on road for an xr6. now under the friends of ford bonus, i can get it for $29.5k (ford emp) and friends of ford can get it for $31.5k on road.

that's 3.5k between RRP and the good deals, the difference on a turbo or 8 is closer to $8k. If you can find a way to get fleet pricing or drive a hard bargain you can whittle the 3.5k down.
I went to a dealer on the weekend and didn't mention the program and got offered a NA XR6 for $35k drive away.

point taken, if you look at the current discounting, then yes you're right.

Shi+ thats pretty good. I went to Binks Ford in Cairnlea and they were trying to sell me a new na xr6 ford employee for $35k drive away. Admittably that was to order one in manual. It wasn't until i mentioned the ford bonus they cut it down to $31.5k. After that I just walked out because they were trying to rip me off.

Andrew at Etheridge Ford, on the other hand, is no nonsense straight to the point good pricing. I reccommend him, if your in the market.

well a few months ago . i got a quote off a fleet company for a new ordered 2009 nitro xr6 na 5 spd with premium sound, tech pack, curtain airbags and tow bar.

they told me that with thier huge purchasing power that no body can beat them . the formal quote came back at over 41k including 11% FBT .
idid not take the offer . what do people think on that price . ???

hearing things like 29.5 or 31.5 drive away , is a little hard to comprehend .
i'm not sure if this is just talk .
i can get 29 driveaway 2nd hand 2008 with 25000kms from hertz , or pickles but nowhere near that for 2nd hand off local dealers
net alone new ones .

are people booll shiiting here or what . i'm putting off buying and leasing , because i cannot get deals even close to whats being suggested here .

You can see the figures on the first page. I would then ring one of the sponsors from down here ( if 'southern region' doesn't include Sydney and see what they can do. I think that 29 or 31 is not including on roads but even so it's good.
I would buy a car from Sydney and drive it back if I was saving 3.5 grand.......

Binks Ford - have lost two sales from myself and a family member due to aggressive pricing

They were basically $4-$5k over the price i paid for my G6ET and $4k over on the price of a XR5 Mondeo Turbo

God knows how they are going to pay off that lovely renovation in Deer park when their pricing is basically out of this world :togo:

What is the final drive away price for G6ET with 19s anyway under this scheme? I calculate it at high $40s at least but would love to know

$31.5k would be on road. It's with the friends of ford deal. you need to know someone in Ford. $29.5k is ford employee. I'm sure if you talk to Andrew from Etheridge Ford, he'd might be able to do those deals, depending on what stock is left.... And thats if you know someone who works for Ford.

The thing with this deal is only some cars are eligible (still trying to work out how). The car needs to be existing, you may not be able to get what you want and would have to settle. 29.5 does not include on roads. So you should be able to find a base model for 31/32.5k drive away. But if you find a model that has extras (such as luxury pack, etc) then expect to pay more. Still at the end of the day it is a very good deal.

Only problem is how long is it gonna take to get a voucher this late in the month.
