The assembly plant can only build a certain number of Territory's per day. To do that they need to build a certain number of Falcons .... The ration is about 1 to 2.
Thie means the more Territory's that are built, the more Falcons (which can't be sold) must also be built ... They can't build a lot more Territorys ....... but they can ask a premium price for them when they go on sale (no discounts). Down days are scheduled for the forseeable future ... Drive past the Assembly plant and look at the thousands of cars (mostly Falcons) that have no buyers !! Manufacturing are working some down days, but the assembly plant are NOT building cars on those days ... |

Is there a reason why they have to have the ratio at 2 to 1?

Ford have to build a certain number of cars a day to stay viable regardless of sales. Although a car is not sold it is still an asset. Parts of the factory are working down days to make up for lost production due to break downs. There are not just Falcons that are stockpiled there are also hundreds of Territory's aswell. I would say that these are being built to run out soon to be obsolete parts. |

Fair enough.
Would having Falcon followed by Territory, then Falcon, Territory etc be an issue then? |

Throw ute's in there and it should be good. Problem is they need to sell them. LPG or lack of is hurting them.
