Lets get this right.. this is what you are and arent allowed to drive
not allowed to drive: Any V8's turbo'd vechiles no matter how many cylinders the engine has UNLESS its a factory turbo diesel the new VE holden SV6 (too much power, so its illegal also) allowed to drive: any falcon I6's any holden V6's up until the VZ any 4 cylinder factory turbo diesel (subject to change from RTANSW) if thats not simple enough just as a small guideline as to whats allowed and not allowed to be driven in NSW edit: also, i dont mind the LPG sticker on the EF.. i want police/other humans to know its slower than a NF 'Lane 5.slow

Here in Victoria:
No forced induction unless its factory turbo diesel No 8 cylinder and above vehicles Exemptions available on application for FUEL EFFICIENT TURBO PETROL vehicles. P plates are 4 years down here too. Anything other than those above rules is free for all, rotaries etc, if you had something with a naturally aspirated 20B rotary you'd be allowed to drive it no problems, they used to have a specific rule for rotaries can't be over a certain capacity which ruled out 13Bs but not anymore. Integra Type R and S2000s used to be illegal on power to weight grounds, not anymore. Its actually freed up a lot of stuff these new laws as of 2007. Example, you can't drive a V8 F250, but the I6TD one is fine, but you can drive a FG Falcon which is faster. |

I say wait until the little mongrels can even keep a car roadworthy.
I was cut off by a corolla seca today, sporting P plates. It had no left mirror, and a broken right mirror. To my surprise, at a later stage when the right indicator actually got used-it didn't actually flash-only flickered a little. I think QLD needs to have annual roadworthies-instead of a Flood Tax. Would fix plenty of issues in one go.

This is just proof of how much thought the individual state Governments put into this policy.
I'd love to drive a stock turbo'd A4 or something because I know it'd be safer than my car but oop, can't drive it cause it's a turbo. So I'll just hop into my EB Falcon that is twice as fast and that's perfectly legal! Thanks Victorian legislation ! |

Buggerit. Just go look at the RTA's page of restricted vehicles... http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/...icles_list.pdf
Or the moderate performance vehicles that are eligible for exemption http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/...onditions.html

Illegal unless you have an exemption which is no chance because its not the only car in the household
Is it TD? |

Few weeks back i saw an L plater in a car with missing headlight, missing mirror, other headlight broken, and one brake light not working. Great to see intelligent adult supervision....

I occasionally drove a VE SV6 On my P's in NSW. Never had any problems.
I also drove an XR6 FG and I think it is a bit quicker then the SV6. So what in Vic P Platers cannot tow or drive a car full of people? Sometimes on my P's I did both at the same time. |

I still think it funny with the laws as the kid next door had a hard on for my Pano. His father didn't care if the kid bought it but the vic laws prohibit him from driving it.
351 Clevo on gas will get smacked by an FG and even V6 camry!!!!!!! (But we all know what is cooler!)

If I was in Victoria I would of broken P plate laws all the time. On P1 I often towed. Its not hard just remember you are a bit longer and cannot go at highway speeds. The restricted passenger law was only for 11pm-5am. And only on P1 I believe. I often drove with a car full of people my age. All it does is make your car slower, so It's harder to hoon in. Not that I was trying. Automatic Licence is only on P1. I got an Auto licence but drove a manual on P2. I agree with No 8, 10, 12 cylinder cars. No turbos or superchargers. But most of the other rules are quite stupid. |

I think it's one of those things where you hate it if you're a P plate driver, but when you are fully licensed you might agree that the restrictions are there for a reason.
Personally it didn't affect me so much. I've never needed to tow anything for any reason and i'm sure most P1 drivers have a friend who is a P2 license holder who can take more than one person if the occasion calls for it. |

Yeah exactly, IMO I think the laws are stupid because they do severely affect some people, but for me I don't care.
I'm perfectly happy with my car, or driving an FG XR6 if I had the money to buy one ;P |

To get your learners it's like a small little test thing, I can't even remember it bahaha.
Then a hazard perception test, then the driving test to obtain your RED P's, then on the second after 1 complete year, you can just put up Green P's, then 3 years later I think it's just another driving test for the full license? Not too sure, but that's about it! |

Yeah there's no test to go from P1 to P2. You display red P's one day, get up the next morning and change them to green. Boom you're a P2 license holder.

Really... took a lot of effort to come up with such a witty reply, pity you couldnt be bothered to come up for reasons for your efforts.
Which bit can you disagree with? Do you have an issue with older people? Or are you just saying all P platers are born with such great driving skills that they should all be driving V8 supercars on a track?

It's funny that someone can call every single P plater a maniac, I wasn't aware you personally knew every P plater in the country. Maybe you should work at a current affair? |

Maybe you need to learn how to read and see whats being said?
Seemingly you also missed the point about attitude, clearly its not sinking in. But thats fine just keep up the personal jibes....
