latest additions to my collection are 2 single barrel tassie whiskeys that the wife brought back for me. Can't remember the name of them but I'll take some photos of my collection and post them up - I'm primarily a Canadian Whiskey man. Dan Murphys getting Crown Royal premix in has been the best (and worst) thing to happen to me in ages.

I added to the collection this weekend with a bottle of Timboon Single Malt Small Batch Whiskey, it's made in Timboon which is a little place about 1.5hrs from Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road. The distillery is a great place to go for lunch, I was a bit disappointed as there's no actual vision of the process, rather it's more just a sales shed and a really good restaurant. Nonetheless worth the drive if you're in the area like I was.
So with that, my collection is: Timboon Small Batch Single Malt Rock and Rye 'Slow and Low' Straight Rye Whiskey Eagle Rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Three Capes Single Malt Tasmanian Whiskey Lark Distillery Single Malt Small Cask Tasmanian Whiskey Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Whiskey Canadian Club Classic 12yr old Whiskey Jack Daniel's White Label Canadian Club Spiced Gentleman Jack Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Glenfiddich 12yr old Single Malt Southern Comfort Southern Comfort Lime Southern Comfort Reserve Crown Royal Maker's Mark Hogs 3 Bourbon Jim Beam (just the standard stuff) I also tried Hudson Baby Bourbon on the weekend away, very nice so some of that will enter the collection soon. I really like the American and Canadian Whiskey, my drop of choice is Canadian Club at the moment. After that I'd also like to add some Yamazaki and some of the other smaller batch microdistillery drops.

McAllister Scotch Whisky is the best to drink.
XXXX Bitter is the best beer to drink on a hot day, but it has to be at the right temp real cold to drink and the bottles should never subjected to too much heat during it's shelf life, as then it's just revolting to drink regardless. Tooheys Old is the best Beer, when drinking on cold nights. Bundaberg Rum is the best Rum to drink. I have a bottle of Monte Alban with a Agave worm in it, you have to eat the worm, that's magic. |

Picked these up the other day the glenfiddich is a very nice drop the balvenie was nice but think it needs more time in the glass and the glengoyne I did not like but I will give it a second chance as it may need to breath.
And this is my new drinking spot

Got a nice present from a client for doing their new patio. Had to have a sample night cap yesterday.

Interesting that you say that, I actually rather liked the Glengoyne 15...I find it smooth and easy to drink. Different strokes for different folks and all that though

I'm not ruling it out as I've had whisky's before that I didn't like at the start but after awhile with more air in the bottle I've really enjoyed the whisky's with 1 becoming a faviourite. I will be trying it again on my next break when I try the 18yr glenfiddich. I've often thought of mixing whisky with a cigar but I don't smoke and can't see my self smoking. It's a nice thought tho.

Been awhile since I brought a whisky as I have been saving. I've now booked a 1 month trip in America over Christmas so I thought I better get a burbon.

Was drinking here http://www.palazzo.com/nightlife/bar...rbon-room.html
last week. Not a big fan of bourbon so I wasn't very adventurous and stuck to Maker's Mark 46. If you go to Vegas ask for your bourbon " my way " , 3 fingers of your choice of bourbon, 1 ice cube and a splash of water. Apparently how Frank Sinatra drank his. |

Called into the Garson brothers distillery in Texas. The whisky tour was excellent and their bourbon is at the next level.
I couldn't leave without 2 bottles

Then I found this
I couldn't believe my luck I'd been into that many liquor stores looking for this in the 3 weeks I've been here. I couldn't afford the 12-15-20yr old. I found a store yesterday that has the 10-12-15yr old but almost sold out. Thinking about going back today to get another 10yr old so I can drink 1 and keep 1 for my collection.

Was having this as a night cap in the hotel over xmas. Surprisingly smooth for it's strength, 59.6%, with sherry notes from the barrels.
