Why would Penske put in so much $$$ if this is only for 1 year. I just dont believe he would spend the moolars he has/will to race a Ford (falcon) for 1 season
Either AA are doing what jurnolists do well... embellish and twist the story OR there is something really strange going on/down that we dont know about.

Pretty sure the chassis will accommodate many different skins! and engine brands and types. I don't believe there is anything in the rules to stop anyone adopting a body shape from eligible cars from any manufacturer should they wish. they don't have to have factory backing!. I now Penske has an affiliation with ford but I believe the rules would allow them to use a 4 door Hyundai, kia, or rolls royce if they wanted JP |

Don't believe that speed café will alter the poll. Looking around Bathurst the last couple of years, no shortage of blue supporters..

To me polls like this is just a message that some business/s or person has a vested interest in to try and sway a diminishing client, it’s all just a little to late I’m afraid. |

With Herrod (offical Ford performance parts distributed) and DJR looking to team up to make hot Mustangs wouldn't be surprised if DJR Penske take over as the official Ford team.

F series would look cool.
Personally I would like to see more Production style races aired on TV

I'm not sure if anyone actually races a Coyote V8 yet, the DP cars in America raced the modular 5L and I thought they kept that until switching to the turbo V6.

There'd be Mustangs racing stateside with them as well so poor choice of words on my part, but I don't think you would use what they're running as a basis when you've got the development from the Daytona Prototype engines and the GT3/GT1 Manthey GT's. The Coyote platform might get interesting depending on what Ford has in mind with racing the GT350 though.

GT350 is speculated to have the crossplane crank equipped 5.2 Voodoo engine...

Hopefully not true
If it is true and Ford aren't backing Peneske, perhaps they are still backing FPR? If they are pulling out altogether, they are just dumb - especially with all the spruiking the US has been doing in recent weeks about Motorsport being in Ford's DNA yadda yadda yadda Seriously as a lifelong blueblood this cuts deep if found to be true - more so when Bob stood up and proclaimed at the Fanatics Day it was great to have FGX confirmed on the 2015 grid - he was very careful in his words and mentioned nothing about Ford Factory funding though. How can Ford not get it when even Volvo and Nissan do FFS??? |

I can understand to a degree why they would be pulling funding completely but the bit that does irk me is like what Guzz226 mentioned above, the fact that FORD US has been promoting their Motorsport DNA heritage.
Don’t treat us as fools Ford, as we certainly are not. |

frosty also stated that they get their coin from ford usa not aus ...remember that ford is still the largest privately owned business ...period...gm have also stated that they have plans to scrap the rear wheel drive v8 so that could mean that both companies will be looking for differant drive trains if they stay in this category at all .....anyway keep argueing amongst yourselves gotta love this place at times...

Can't argue with the figures. Mazda and Toyota aren't in V8SC and look how many vehicles they sell.
I love motorsport and the V8 category but I think it is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Lets hope to 2017 changes will bring in some more manufactures. Also don't forget it isn't the first time Ford walked away from Touring Car racing in Australia and it regretted it the first time, only took them 21 years to figure it out (78-99).
