Sorry to be "negator" still.... but if they drop the GT badge to bring the xr8 back I'll be again bemused about the brand, to the extent of the v8 drop way back when!! Why would you drop a world wide icon for a forgive the wording a "hoon" stigma. Lets be honest would HSV/Holden drop GTS for SS. Am I alone with this one, have we given up on the important facts than just keyless and power windows??

the marketing depends on who's working in the marketing department.
if its full of women, and trendy soft-**** uni graduates that drive micra's. I dont really know what we can expect. maybe it should be like this : " people see it on the road and start to day dream, then they suddenly come back to reality and realise they are driving a ****** kia because there wife chose it, the next day you see him trading the tin box korean piece of **** in for a falcon with a big grin on his face, and the look of disgust on his wifes. but the kids love it. |

They havnt got enough money for unique bumpers, sideskirts, wheels etc that is why the GT (name) isnt continuing.
Would be a bit of a joke that if an XR6 was the same spec as a GT Falcon wouldnt you think?

Personally would not have liked a wagon with that roofline.

You would prefer the hearse we called a AU/BA wagon? :P
Honestly if someone was serious about space they would get just a Tez, and a TDi while they were at it.

the roof line on that Jag actually isnt that low. If you notice how they put extra metal in the panel between the roof on the rear windows, it kind of widens and rolls around. It gives the illusion of a raking roof but it doesn't really rake much at all.

I'm sure most people could live without the body kit, Whatever spec the XR8 will be would be good enough considering its a fresh update anyway. If the name of the games is to sell more cars, the GT will always be > XR8

I am glad Ford have not brought out some half arsed thing. It protects the brand and the badge if you ask me. If you want a GT now is the time to order the last horrah.

The teaser video actually show a massive amount of detail for FH. Its funny that some people haven't picked up on the attention to detail clearly highlighted in the video. Lol if you can adjust the "contrast and sharpness" in you eyes and you have a detailed knowledge of the locating points behind the front and rear of the FG, you should know EXACTLY what the FH will look like!
And its going to look HOT HOT HOT! My only issue is what its GOT GOT GOT! Lol

After seeing today they wouldn't even put the Falcon Ute in the 80th anniversary of the ute photos today so I almost feel like they want to kill the brand with a pillow. If only Dearborn understood how this is damaging the brand they'd let it go out with a bang, rather than the bare minimum. Hope I'm proven wrong because I'll be one of the first to buy one if so. |

Sigh.....and would have been for a falcon price (ie < 140K than the jaguar).
Going to be one hell of a sad day when they bring the flag down on local Aussie Ford manufacturing. It still bewilders me that the local RWD ford engineering and design team was pretty much ignored globally. Such a dynamite package. It would have made more sense to integrate some of the falcon underpinnings into a global RWD architecture and just keep building on the base. Yes I know, off topic (again). Is there any truth to the rumours that FH (or whatever they call it) might come in earlier than October or is that locked in stone? |

With the fact that it will be "Ford" and not an "FPV", it can be sold in EVERY Ford dealership across the country and not just the dedicated FPV dealers, it will be more accessible

and Im not sure how it protects the brand but hey, fine you prefer XR8 over GT,...all good. Sorry for voicing an opinion, but I'll be sure to run it by you first next time. ...anyway on topic ! just having a closer look at the headlight, evidently there are some different planes with highlighting and shadowing which may or may not be image artifacting to some degree but It also appears the bumper or body color regresses into the middle area of the quad headlight. These are cgi after all so not sure how much to read into it.
