NSW records 8,201 cases in the current period and the 10-day average growth rate increases to 1.0099 from 0.9537) while the actual line remains below the predictive trend line - fractionally. VIC records 8,162 cases in the current period and the 10-day average growth rate increases to 1.0103 (from 0.9648) while the actual line remains about level with the predictive trend. No states set a new daily record on 13/2. Here is the predictive trend graph for three States based on cases since Omicron was identified which, for our purposes, will be taken as December 1st. As it was the end of our week on Monday, here are the weekly case numbers with NSW having 1,113 more cases then Victoria last week although Victoria recorded 13,456 less cases than the previous week while NSW recorded 10,170 and Queensland 15,824 less.

In Australia, COVID related deaths for 2022 have passed the total for all of 2021 with 2,385 YTD compared to 2,234 last year. Yes, that's on the back of a much higher case load of 2.537M which is 6.8x greater than the 371k for all of 2021 and that means the CMR of 0.094% is also much lower than the 0.356% last year.

The school has instigated staggered drop off and pickup times to apparently avoid students and parents of different ages and grades from mingling. One is in little kindy the other in grade 1. They are taught in separate buildings with entrances about 20m apart. But they would dropped off at the same place where one would be walked into kindy and the other at the main building door closest to the kindy. But now they only have one entrance and exit for certain grades. So the little one gets dropped directly at the entrance to kindy then she has to race the other 150m to the other entrance so he arrives within his "time slot". Arriving outside that time slot is a biiiiig no no. At pickup, even though school ends at the same time for both, there is a 40 min break between collection of the little one and big one. So little one gets picked up and they have to wait 40 mins before the older one is released through the door 150m away. He is not learning in that time and teachers are being used as baby sitters and unable to do work until their class is released. But because its a waste to take the little one home and return, they both remain at the school where she and little nephew mingle with other parents and kids while they all wait for other classes to be released. It's causing no end of trouble to her work commitments and commitments to husband because he's still not back to 100% health. |

This seems to point to staff pay being a main contribution reason, but 3 vs 900+, I reckon there has to be more to it than that....

'' The virus can travel 1.5 meters, it cannot travel 1.6 or greater. It can live on all surfaces except anything from Australia Post or Amazon. It does not live in Target, Coles, Woolies, Aldi or Bunnings.
It's only deadly in pubs, restaurants, small businesses ( they got rekt ), hair salons, beaches and especially churches. And it cannot survive on food or drink as long as it's take-away '' And beer tastes twice as good when you're on the winning team. |

Aww don't say that. Then all the conspiracy theorists will have to think of something else to whinge about.

It’s about time this thing was treated like the fue. If your double, triple, quadruple vaxxed you have nothing to worry about. If you chose not to be vaxxed then that’s on you. Just like the flue shot.
Lets get things moving and stop all the BS that’s going on. These are my honest opinions, I’m not looking for replies about but this and that, to honest I don’t really care anymore. Let’s just get the country going again.
