Would have taken a while longer if you hadn't shown me that Turin/Torino badge. The dash is very Italian Supercar like and even though I had eventually recognised the steering wheel as the same one used in Oz Rambler Rebels I was thinking some low Volume French or Italian Supercar using US mechanicals. A Google image search of "Torino car" found it for me.

More clues: The resemblance to some Intermeccanica's models might not be entirely accidental.

OK; seeing as it's been nearly 24 hours some more clues:

This car had a forked biased backbone chassis, Ford Zodiac MkIV suspension and disk brakes, a Ford Taunus 2.3 liter V6 engine and the option of a 210 bhp turbo version.

The company that made the body was based in Turin (Torino) and also at times manufactured bodies for de Tomaso, Abarth and some Ferrari prototypes. The Turin based designer designed the most of the Intermeccanica cars (and went broke and retired after putting his own life savings into Intermeccanica after the founder, Reissener, reportedly skipped Italy to Canada and the Italian Intermeccanica went bankrupt).

Well done and LMX Sirex 2300 HCS (and a very pretty car for that era I must say).

See http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...lmx-sirex.html
http://www.wheelsofitaly.com/wiki/index.php/Eurostyle
http://www.wheelsofitaly.com/wiki/in...anco_Scaglione
http://www.wheelsofitaly.com/wiki/index.php/LMX

for more on LMX and the history of those involved.

Never heard of it referred to as an "Oldsmobile".

Found the Olds link http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/46212/index.html

I just think the car's seller was trying to attract the attention of buyers looking for an Oldmobile.

Nice Interior shot though:

And the build plate there suggest at least 68 cars were built.

........or perhaps to list there he had to nominate a brand and LMX wasn't an option on the menu so he just selected "Oldmobile".

Wanna change the format a little? I liked the idea of the crashed cars thing that happened a while back (although it was a bit morbid, hehe).

Want to do "name that film car" for a while?

I started that one with the Wagon Queen Family Truckster back many a page now :P

I was going to use movie or TV cars every time I managed to win one but moved away from that idea :(

Here's something to get it going again (not a film car):
