Greetings to all. I have my 6th Ford now started with a Maverick starting with a family, then to 3 consective Falcon station-wagons, now a Territory and XR4 Fiesta. My intention was not to blindly follow Fords, but I just keep coming back to them. Had Alfa, Nissan Landcruiser, but always felt more comfortable working on a Ford. Territory is the first car I bought new, needed to show my 4 sons buying Aus is better in all sorts of ways. I ride Harleys, dirt bikes, now have a BMW R1200GS, but that is on the bike side. You have all made a great website here and I'm enjoying getting my hands dirty again and show the kids how to understand look after their own Fords. First son has Falcon, looks like second son will have Falcon now. Suspect we will be enjoying all your hard work in you shared knowledge. Many thanks in advance to all whom contribute. Cheers, eon.

Hey all my name's Keenan. Have always been a Holden fan and own two of the things (VT Exec and TE Gemini).
So why am I here??? Basically to learn a bit about things over here on the "dark side" as I'm starting to gain a fair appreciation for anything Ford inline 6 especially the turbo'ed stuff. I don't have a Falcon as yet, but do have plans for a boosted E-Series circuit car one day. |

just signed after many weeks of 'technical' issues with my home pc. any how the reason im here is to find a cure for the confounded t/c on AU2. iv probed under the covers a little and i believe its an earthed circuit and therefore cannot be 'hotwired' to go away permenately. theres also next to no info in my new $50 manual, wiring diagrams are no help and there is no single fuse as the t/c system is interconnected to other electrical components. im no auto electrician so im open to suggestions....apart from selling up and going back in time to my beloved 85' XF.

welcome to you and me. basically henry ford was an ******* BUT....he knew what he was doin. he found a way to build cars quickly and cheaply and lord knows their still doing it today. all cars have inherant flaws, thats a given. at least with fords they are cheap to fix. i owned an 85' XF for 10yrs so i tend to stick with what i know, ford six

Hello Everyone,
I currently own a MA Mondeo TDCI and also drive a MC Mondeo company car. Both are Diesel powered. The MA has a torque converter 6 speed box and the MC has the later twin clutch box. The MA has a smoother feel than the MC, but the MC feels livelier. Both have been trouble free since new. Love the interior space and the torque characteristics of the Diesel engine. The only downsides for me is the price of fuel has increased and there is usually only one pump at most service stations with Diesel. I am thinking of trading the Mondeo in for a Focus Titanium later this year and find the other members comments most informative. Looking forward to more interesting reading, nicrobell |
