From the catalogue the two have different part numbers so there must be a differnce. BA BF FG Mk1 2002-2011 use bottle BA17618A. FG Mk2 & FGX 2011-2016 use bottle BR2Z17618AA. So based off the catalogue (which has been wrong in the past) it advises two different bottles between the above models. Soto be sure if getting a used bottle, get one out of a FG2 or later. |

As the Americans say, he’s certainly proud of it!
Thank you for checking. At his asking price of near triple retail, I’ll happily choose a good used part. |

Hi GTLEGEND,
aussiblue suggested I ask here to see if you can source a part for me. I'm looking for SKU: 1L2Z-6622-AA It's the 'Engine Oil Pump Pickup Tube' which I believe was used on the Explorer 4.0L SOHC V6, among other Ford vehicles. It's readily available in the US, but I need it quickly, so trying to source it in Australia. |

These are hard to find in Oz, I will have a look, but I suggest you try a dedicated Explorer wrecker (there are a few around) that also do new parts. I will need check, but may take a while. See what I can find. GT |

Thanks for responding so quickly! A friend who has connections with Ford Australia made some enquiries today and was told that Ford hasn't stocked the part here in Oz for many years. So I don't hold much hope. Cheers, Kevin |

Please don't spend any time on this. I thought the one I have was cracked, and I just had a look to see what I could do in terms of repairing it with a view to replacing it at the next oil change, but on really close inspection with a magnifier I don't think it is actually cracked, I think it's just a moulding artefact that looks like a crack! So I don't think I need one after all. Sorry to waste your time! |

Howdy GT,
This may be a bit of a Hail Mary, but I'm looking for an Idle Speed Controller for my 1997 XH Falcon 4ltr. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask if any Genuine Ford NOS is still floating about, and if you even just happened to know the Ford part # that would be fantastic. Cheers, the Baminator
