Promote it as one of those accommodation/recovery “pods” as touted for areas affected by natural disasters. Suited to problem tenants.

Here's a good link on Australia's diesel, the geopolitical 'who's your daddy' when it comes to Australian diesel supplies:
http://crudeoilpeak.info/australian-...aiwan-may-2022 It's included with the current military exercises around Taiwan, right down to Chinese missile paths! Rokwiz has the right approach

We love making poor decisions as a country, its like our national sport
40% of our diesel coming from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Wow thats going to work out well for our diesel submarine fleet when China makes moves on Taiwan sooner rather than later. |

Buy Russian oil cheap for your domestic needs, then export 100% of your production capacity at the high prices on the global market. Given winter is approaching in the northern hemisphere I reckon Western Europe will give in on sanctions otherwise its going to be a real cold winter for them without Russian gas. It's pretty hard to hurt russia when they own most of your energy supplies. I remember when the germans laughed at Trump when he told them at that G7 conference (or whatever it was) that depending on russia for gas supplies was dangerous. Look who's laughing now. |

Yeah, Russia is killing it... Saudi Oil is selling at a premium on WTI crude prices. The Arab nations are the ones winning in the oil world circle, not Russia.

You think Germany built its dependence on Russian oil and gas in the past 12 months or over the past 15 years?
Just because she's no longer running the country doesn't mean she didn't cause the current problem. |

Gas supply is a major issue but not accessing Russian supply will open up opportunities for other supply routes, there is always a fall back position. The Germans wil work it out, it’s not like they’re dumb and doing nothing. We need to stop blathering other political dictatorship nonsense and understand that this is a setback but it will force positive change in other directions. Or their laughable initial offer of 5000 helmets to Ukraine. Yet we're on the other side of the planet and already landed circa $300M worth of military assistance months before Germany had even delivered any tanks to them (that they eventually promised) This lies at Angela Merkel's feet over the past 15 or so years she was running the joint, makes me laugh about how she shrugged off Donald Trump's warning about relying on Russian gas. I wouldn't call them 'smart', I reckon they're ****ing idiots. Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 27-08-2022 at 10:41 AM. |

Lol Trump. The whole Europe saga is a self fulfilling prophecy. Shame on Merkel for deescalation and providing affordable energy to her people from a supplier next door
Just filled up at Leongatha for 1.84 PULP. Prices are all over the place at the moment. Locked in sleven at 1.86 when coming back from Tullamarine last night.

You know, the below wars Russia kicked off on its neighbours: First Russian-Chechen War - 1994 - 1996 Second Russian-Chechen War - 1999 - 2009 Invasion of Georgia - 2008 Annexation of Crimea - 2014 Russia-Ukraine War - 2022 Those little Baltic countries and other Eastern European nations who have lived under Russian rule over the past 500 years seem to be putting in the effort to help Ukraine, while Germany has been funding their aggression because cheap oil and gas. They didn't have to buy Russian oil and gas, but they did. I'm sure we could buy a lot of things from China made by the 1.5 million Uighur slaves they have real cheap, but that doesn't make it the right (or ethical) decision. |

What's China got to do with it? You want to talk about Uiger Muslims, try starting with how many the US/UK/Nato etc have murdered over the years then come back and tell us about how bad the Chinese are supposedly treating them, they sure as hell aint killing them and calling them slaves is a pretty big stretch. As for countries invading others, the same countries that I mentioned above as killing millions of muslims have invaded far more countries and far more atrocities than the dispute currently going on in Ukraine, yeah that doesnt make it right what's happening now but it shows the double standards we have in the west, we do what we want how we want then criticize others for doing the same or anything remotely similar. The US should be pushing for peace talks in Ukraine instead of using the puppet zelensky to send his people to their deaths as he is doing, after all, when Gorbachev broke up the soviet union part of the deal was for Nato not to expand closer to Russia, yet the US has encouraged exactly that so no surprises for Putin to take the action he has, would Biden/Trump or anyother US president sit back and allow Chinese or Russian military and missiles be based in Canada or Mexico??? NO, yet we wouldn't criticize the US for responding to that threat if it happened just as it did over the Cuban missile crisis which was presented to the west via the media as Khruschev starting it all off by sending missiles to Cuba yet that was a direct response to the US putting missiles in Italy and Turkey aimed at Russia... you start to see the pattern here??? We in the west want what others have and if others resist we impose economic sanctions, weaponising economics and if that fails then try regime change from within (see Ukraine 2014 and tried again in Syria without success) and if that doesn't work then we invade (see Iraq). We blackmail other countries to bow to our demands yet cry foul when other countries do it. Now the US is threatening Türkiye with sanctions if it trades with Russia... more blackmail and double standards, we are through supporting biased US foreign policy, enabling the worlds biggest dictator, the US. |

Yanks have plenty of money now that they are not blowing $300 million a day in Afghanistan…
Biden and the US will do the heavy lifting on arming Ukraine because they can fund it.. The sanctions are hurting Russia because there’s only so much gas that they can sell to India and China but I do agree that the coming winter and gas shortages will test NATO countries’ resolve to continue acting against Russia. Russia is hurting and Europe will begin to really hurt soon… Tuchman, the Putin is not interested in peace talks, he will continue his campaign regardless of whatever is said. That is abundantly clear to anyone watching Ukraine for even the short west time. The Americans are so far in front of Russia and rearming the Ukaraiians, they can keep this going until Putin is out of tanks and men. |

Looking across Brisbane,Sydney and Melbourne, there’s a big difference between 91 ULP and diesel of roughly 40cpl.
So I wonder, what’s up with that, why is the price so heavily skewed, what am I missing…. |

Some stations in metro melb are now $1.9x for standard ULP. Others still $1.5x. Not hard to see where it's heading in a couple of weeks, double whammy with excise.
