You can buy direct from the distillery online. While you're there, get a bottle of the Royal Liqueur as well.

As it stands right now, this will be bottle shop release. So no numbered bottles, but it is expected to be released in limited quantities. All bottles will be boxed and they will be delicious.

Best way to get some is to ask your local bottleshop if they are getting any in stock, if they are not, ask them to do so, if they don't know anything about it then they are daft. Give them your contact details, check in for updates, make pre-orders.

The price is expected to be $54.99, which for a limited run rum at 43%ABV isn't bad. Expect larger chains to have better prices, like First Choice and Dan's. None of this is confirmed, but it comes from the best people.

Can't wait to grab some, I remember ploughing through this when I was a kid.

Will this completely ruin the value of the current stuff you think?

For the most part, the value of the old D3 was derived from people wanting to buy and drink it because it was so good. I think the value of the current stuff is going to drop like a stone, you could probably expect that the only people the are going to buy the old stuff are those who plan to put them in their collection. I expect $120-150 for the old 700ml bottle would be reasonable considering the values were pushing up past $200.

I'm glad I got other stuff instead. Will definitely grab at least two too keep and a few to enjoy. Can't even remember what it tastes like.

Early planning for the weekend has me wondering.....

Bacardi Dark Oak or Bundaberg Spiced Rum???

I've been putting off trying out Bundy spiced for a while now, but in recent time Dark Oak has been released and I'm looking for feedback.

Thanks Team.

Bacardi Dark Oak for sure, bundy spiced is ok but I was not a huge fan on the vanilla flavours coming through

Is there much difference between 207 and 315? Wondering if it's worth chasing down a 207 too try? Or are they pretty similar?

Well I went with the Bundy Spiced, and I seriously doubt it's anymore than regular UP with a dash of vanilla essence.

Oakheart for me next weekend, assuming Beenleigh Rum's new relaunched range isn't in store by then.

White, Honey Liqueur and a 5yo Dark rum.

I'm on a spiced rum kick at the moment so after the dissapointment of Bundy, the average presentation of Bacardi Oakheart, I've move onto Captain Morgan's spiced gold rum.

Straight, it's nothing better than rotten, but mix it with some cola and it quite the pleasure.

Tried the spiced rum cans, not bad but too sweet for me. Tastes a bit like up and vanilla coke.

I think that may be because vanilla is one of the spices BDC use in their rum.

I tried the new Beenleigh Rum 5yo, and it is awesome, put it at the top of your must try list. Also add Kraken to that list, fantastic rum.

Bundaberg Distiller's number 3 is out now, 3000 cases going to Dan Murphy's Australia wide so anyone after some shouldn't have a problem getting any. Not the same as the original, which is disappointing but it is a good honesty crack and the best Bundy Rum that was ever made (I bought 2 cartons).

Only 9000 cartons (54,000 bottles) are part of this release so not incredible rare, but definitely limited.

25,000 for 1 bottle, even if it's 1 of only 20, that's big chunk of change.

Saturday I travelled to Bundy for their latest in the master distillers collection. Funnily enough this is the first MDC bottle (6 in total now) that doesn't have the signatures of the 3 master distillers on it. They quit becuase Bundy was pumping too many crapping rums bearing their names.

The new MDC6 280 has been aged in ex-jack daniels barrels which has left it with the unmistakable taste of bourbon, and at the price point of $90 you're better off buying a bottle of Jim Beam to get the same taste. 280 doesnt even taste like rum.

National Geographic channel for those with foxtel, on November 12 have mega factories episode on the Bundaberg Distillery.

I was looking at the store. But it seems that you need to buy a minimum of 12 bottles. Can get expensive.

There's a new "Rum Bar" that has recently opened in Clarence St. Sydney
over 120 types of rum available.
I certainly don't mind a drop now.

Only available from the Distillery.
$1250.00 per bottle. 1888 bottles in total with BDC keeping some for themselves.

If you don't mind me asking what was the 1988 centenary bottle worth

Watched the show on Fox about the BDC and have found out why I like Bundy so much.

1988 Centenary is around $800-1200, but the way things are now you'd probably look at right around $900. Good time to buy, terrible time to sell.

All gone at Dan Murphy's.

So the greed starts. eBay, there's one set going for $4k. There's 2 of the smaller bottles. One for $300 and the other for $1,250. All liqueur stores.

Not here.

Had 2 lap tops running several tabs each trying to get one.
When I finally got to a 'add to kart' page I was wrapped, but even then it took about 40 minutes to go through checkout. Total time was around and hour and forty five minutes.

Will be interesting to see which number I get.

I was resigned to missing out seeing I couldn't get to Bundaberg as it was my 50th birthday on Friday and was having around 60 friends and family around on the Saturday night for a party.

If you think this is limited have a look on the Dan Murphy website for the one of sixty Jubilee Scotch.
$200000.00 for a bottle and only one in Australia
