When you're going to a family event and your Mum insists for you to take your car so you can show it off to the family because she is just as proud of it as you are.

You wipe down your car at night using your mobile phone light to see.

You wash your car in 38 degree heat and end up wiping off the beads of sweat.

You feel a little depressed because you don't get to hear that glorious V8 note as well from the drivers seat.

You feel a little depressed because you don't get to see how good your car looks from the drivers seat.

You think your car has a soul after you hear the sound she makes opening the taps on a midnight drive.

You can relate to nearly every other post in this thread.

-When you feel like you're doing a good deed by allowing other people to hear your awesome blow off valve sound as you drive by.

-When you stay up at night with excitement if you know you get to go for a long drive in your car tomorrow

-When no matter how happy you are with what car you have, you're always excited about future projects. (I can't wait to have enough space to build up an old falcon V8, ratrod or something unique)

Depends on how long you were waiting to be seen for. If you were waiting for almost 3 hours like me, then its ok, 10 minutes, that's getting on a bit too much of a car guy lol. The only reason I didn't was because my phone went flat.

When you think that everybody that drives a car should be into them, and then you can't understand why they're not. You also think well if they're not, then they shouldn't be driving at all.

When you walk/run around the house making engine noises, and drift around corners. Using your voicebox to produce such sounds as a throaty V8, a blow off valve, engine bouncing off rev limiter and spinning tyres.

I'm usually on the gate and pretending to steer while sliding around in socks.

Things that make you go "Hmmm".

I'm a keen follower of this thread, and many of the posters share and shoulder my addiction to cars - many of what I would not admit to in public, not ever!

Mike, you need help brother. I hope it's one of those things that you do in private when no-one else is around.

Only kidding, no offence intended. Whatever floats your boat!

Cheers!

Or when you check gumtree, eBay, Carsales, and trading post for any old wrecks that people are giving away next to nothing, that look like they would be worth restoring...

Also whenever you go to a customers house and if you notice a few old cars in the corner of their shed, you have to ask them if you can have a look and if they would ever sell them; came so close to buying a rust free mini cooper down in Geelong the other week!!
