Put in a pre-order through Ozgamesonline.com, hopefully there is not a huge backlog and the initial supply they have is booked out for weeks

Did anyone get the $300 copy with the booklet and model car, is it really worth it?

I did look at them but I figured if anyone is impatient at least they can go to h.n & pick it up..

I ordered nba2k11 from ozgameshop & it took 2 weeks to get here. yeah it was cheap & had free postage but i still like to be able to walk into a shop & get it while i'm there. guess that comes at a cost due to having staff etc but i'll pay it more often than not

Official Car List and Track lists have been announced.

I hope its a mistake, but no mention of the FPV's that were even in GT4.

http://www.gran-turismo.com/local/jp...arlist_en.html

Track List:
http://www.gran-turismo.com/local/jp...selist_en.html

Official Release Date for US/Europe is 24th November
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/...ber-24th-2010/
I imagine we'll be a day or so behind due to time zones etc.

I must admit sometimes I don't feel like buying these games due to the lack of support for aussie cars. We all know that falcons, both stock and FPV variants and dare I say it Commodores and their HSV brand are better than half the cars they put in the game.

That car list is basically GT4's. Not happy.

I see there's still more Nissans, Mitsubishis, Subarus etc than anything else. Whilst I understand the series is primarily aimed at the Japanese market can't they make it a bit more varied?

I'm disappointed that there are no Australian Fords/FPVs, and the only two Holdens are just ripped out of GT4. Still no HSVs either.

I agree. I know Forza 3 got some of the most recent V8 supercars, but it would be awesome if GT5 had all the significant V8 Supercars from say 2001 to 2006, or something.

With over 1000 cars in the game we should get some older classic racers too, XY GT, the coupes, monaros, etc etc. Mostly I just want a BF Typhoon in the game, if the game has that I will buy.

2010?? We sure its not 2011 with the way they're going?

Also the GT and F6 are not in that list anymore.

I was thinking of that aswell. I would cream in my pants if there were old Holdens, and Fords. Well maybe not.

I would be very happy though.

Yep.. at $15.95 for the pack..

We have waited that long we shouldn't have to wait for what "Could" be released as DLC.

In saying that it would be better than nothing.

Im sure its going to be a great game but that car list is absoultely crap.

17 variants of s2000 to hang your fluffy dice off, 52 fully *** versions of the same car etc etc and nothing for us locals except a reskined GT4 car.

If they would announce they would do DLC for us then I would be fine with that even if it cost a bit ($20 for FG FPV and HSV plus XR6T model)
But so far indications are no DLC (if you can rely on anything GT5 creators have said)

A lot of that list is just the same from number 4. No Aussie Fords and the Holdens are the same from the older game.

Possibly the greatest car game of all time and people aren't going to buy it just because an Aussie Ford isn't in it? Really?

Although it sucks I can't drive some kinda Falcon, I'm still going to get it...

Yep I am certainly considering it. I can't afford to drive an F6 or GT so when these you beaut simulated car games are released I do hope that they cater for aussie taste, even if it is just 1 or 2 cars (not ones from previous versions), unfortunitely these companies only see america and japan, their vision does not seem to be any wider than that. So yes when a game takes this long to be released and is WORLD WIDE, I expect the makers to take some interest in the market they are trying to get **** loads of money off.

Well I would think the companies would recognise, hopefully, where their main market is, and cater accordingly, and maybe Australia isn't part of it.

But as I said, it shouldn't stop you from buying it surely...

It does seem an unusual line up. But in the end it is Grand Turismo, and with the wait we have had, it has to be good, or the biggest gaming flop of all time....

I will still have a look to see what its like. I dont own a PS3 and was considering getting one to get GT5. The copy of GT4s car list and tracks has taken the excitement out of it a little thats all. Will still no doubt be a good game.
