Were the choc smokes called fads or fags or something like that?
Have had pop tarts here, you mean not available now or ever? Prob got them from The Reject Shop? They sell all sorts of imported foods.

Pop Tarts were sold by Coles and Woolworths, but about 10 years ago they were deleted from their stocklist. I remember having some in more recent years but can't remember where they came from.

Only place I know of to get pop tarts nowadays is the american shop down in moorabbin, but cbf driving an hour to get some lol
And I thought fads (fags) were more like a candy? I remeber them looking exactly like cigarettes and you had to unwrap them, but my memory is pretty vague, just remember they were AWESOME as a kid. EDIT- oh dear, just found what I was looking for, can DEFINITELY understand why they are not sold anymore hahaha http://www.oldtimecandy.com/chocolate-cigarettes.htm

I haven't seen them for a while, but what about those Eskimo Pie Ice Creams they would sell to you when you were at a game of AFL?

Cobbers. Fantails are no match.
As already mentioned several times the original Milo bars. Pineapple pie from Maccas as well as the milo mcflurry. A few have mentioned pollywaffles but I had one about 2 months ago from Coles. |

Just thought of another one, cadbury (I think) lunas.
Kinda like m&m crispies, but all different size balls coloured to look like planets, came in a little flip top box. They were damn tasty.

Showin your age.
As kids we used to collect clear glass empty soft drink bottles (5c deposit I think) and cash them in for a 10c - 20c bags of mixed lollies at the corner shop, maybe we were getting ripped off but to kids they seem to be pretty big bags in the 70s. |

3d worth of broken biscuits from the cake shop. This is when biscuits were in big tins, not packets.
You'd get a mountain of bickies.. Teddybears, malt o milks, scotch fingers...

Made a fortune at the speedway on a Saturday night when I was a kid. Paid cash for my first car and probably three quarters of the money came from bottles. |

Bundaberg Horehound the best drink in the world, but you have to put a lot of ice in a glass then pour it in. if ya just drink it out of the bottle it's rubbish.
I would drink it first thing when i got home from work on a hot day, but now i have to just drink beer. |

Those popcorn flavoured Smiths Chips. They were awesome.
Absolutely maddens me that companies bring out a product, get people hooked on it, then take it away. Could you imagine the riots if heroin & crack dealers started just laughing and saying "nope, no longer available" for a year or two every now and then? KFC Hot & Spicy, and extra crispy - why not make them permanent fixtures? As well as those mashie mash potato ball things, they were divine!

We had a local Chinese Restaurant, that was actually quite swish,
and they did Szechuan beef unlike anywhere else I have found. Then that ****wit Jack Van Tongren had to go and firebomb it.
