As much as my blood runs blue I will never forget the sound of the VN SS ex chaser a mate used to own a few years ago! Just had pacies and a aftermarket zorst and it was off chops when he stood on it!

shocked and surprised at you "ford blokes "the only good sounding holden motor is the sound of a death rattle when a bearing has given up the ghost from all that wet'n'wild skidding from the last rainy day and a leg is about to hop outa bed :lookedat: ...actually the sound of skaifes car on bathurst day getting piled into the fence by another s#@ttin that was pretty bloody good
apart from all that there is a very nice noise coming out of a red au3 xr8 that lives around my area ............doc |

Lexus brought out the SC400 4L V8 Toyota brought out the Soarer GT 2.5L TT (also a 3.0 from memory). Badges can be put on by anyone. I have seen a few TT V8s getting around though .... all aftermarket though. I am guessing the owner used a mix of different badges (as it's a combination of Lexus/Toyota ... mind you they are one and the same thing really).

The old skool Ford V8s were the best for exhaust note, followed by the 308. In my opinion the modern era Ford V8 is nothing to write home about, while the pushrodasauris 5.7 and the 6.0 LS motors sound great when hitting their straps.

i have only heard one LS2 and it was the best sounding EFI ever. Although the guy did have alot of trouble trying to acheive that sound.
My windsor isnt too bad, needs to be louder on idle. But on throttle, puts many of the LS1 owners in place........the LS1 do sound pretty good on idle though. I used to like LS1, but i have heard that many of them going around that it has lost all meaning. Bosses, you have got to love though but IMO, a worked windsor tumbles over the sound of boss engine. But i always smile when i see a gt with a herrod system fly past me Best sounding v8 of all time is a worked 351 clevland, OMG |

Stock the boss wins no doubt
And a boss with Full Diffillipo twin 3inch system :sm_drool: other than that some windsors can sound good but holden 5 litres are easier to make sound good if your talking modded then it all depends on the exhaust you use all the v8's can sound mean with the right systems but easiest to make sound good is prob a injected 304 |

The current 3v sohc ford motor with a full di fillipo system is the toughest sounding v8 i have ever heard (manual),all BOSS motors ive heard drone fare to much even with full di fillipo systems, thats a problem with auto's though.

I hate to admit it, but I also agree the holden 5L sounds killer. I have heard too many 5L statesmans with very mild exhausts and some SS's absolutely sound the goods. I envy them alot for that reason alone. Would it make me buy one? I doubt it. But if I was given one, then hell yeah Id keep it.

I just can't go past a holden 5.0.
Second has to be an LS1, and then the BOSS. the BOSS sounds a bit too clean and smooth for me to choose it over the holden 5o |

I voted for the 5.0L, I loved the sound of my old AUIII XR8. I also love the hackling sound of the T3's engine too, very nice. Not a fan of the BA's, we've had 2 one stock(ish) one Shaker etc etc and they sound too tinny for my liking and I know I'm not the only one to think or say that. :eclipsee_
