I managed to walk 5 houses up the street on my own, yep me and my walking stick.

Doesn't sound like much but man was I stuffed when I got back and then took a couple of endone and had a 2 hr sleep.

Why is this so good, I'm 63, I had a fall at work and fractured L1 and L2 vertebra, damaged the disc between and ripped the muscles away from the body on my R side, did you know that ya bum and middle back muscles are connected to your cough, sneeze and laughing system?? I do now!!

So after more than a month I'm getting there, Yep that makes me feel good today.

And mumma bear might even take me for a drive in da toy next week if I can get into the car YIPPY!!!!!

Terry aka Tbro
Stay safe.

Hi Guys,
When I have a bad week or something upsets me I think back when I drove a truck.
One day I had some printing to deliver to the Starlight Foundation which were in Epping in Sydney.

I delivered the boxes to the lady at the front desk and then I told her a quick joke.

" Why don't cannibals like Clowns"? "Because they taste Funny".

I said too her "you can tell the kids that joke" and then she said "I don't get it".

I laugh to myself every time I think of that.

...Re-sealing the Barra sump at 5PM after having to unstick it because of almost 30 thou fore-aft misalignment. Cross bolts weren’t going in happily. Now all torqued down; job jobbed.

After 6 years of driving Holden cruzes at work, today we picked up our brand new Kia sportages. What a friggen releaf, I literally nursed mine to the finish line with warning lights and a trans threatening to die. Bye Holden, don’t let the door hit your #@s on the way out.

After a solid effort over the weekend, i was feeling a bit dusty at work this morning. I get along on the social level with a few of my clients. Theres one lady who i chat to sociably, and she has recently discovered red wine, and hangovers. I go to see her today and the first thing she says is she feels like how i look. I responded you feel amazing? She says nah, she feels like crap. Yeah, nice to see you too... Anyhow, after a quick catch up i tell her my joke of the day, she laughs then get super embarrassed. Everyone around was looking at her. So i get the stern why do i always embarrass her like that? My answer was simple, its easy and i find it funny.

Traded, they were worth nothing as the fleet had varying degrees of hail damage. I hope the dealer sends them straight to auction, we’ve spent thousands in repairs over the last few months, I wouldn’t wish one on your worst enemy.

$35 per pack of Winfield Blues at about 2.5 packs per week. That is about $3,800.

Bought a Mazda CX5 a couple of months ago, and now we can travel within WA planning a road trip up north.
Spotted a nudge bar on FB for $250 for my model car, worth nearly a grand new.
Anyway, go look at it and I notice it's got a bracket missing and a few bolts.
The guy says "So you're telling me I can't sell it?"
I said "Yes you can still sell it, but I'm not interested thanks"
He says "Well do you just want to take it anyway, I need it gone from the shed"
I said,... well you know what I said.
I went to the recycle yard on the way home, picked up some 5mill steel plate and welded myself up a bracket. Job done.
Just got to fit it now.

Welds aren't great, going to grind down and try again.

PIES!!!

Pies made me feel good today.

I made twelve man sized pies as big as dessert bowls with cripsy flakey pastry full of chunky steak n gravy plus either bacon and cheese or mushrooms or pepper and tomato. The guys at the local community center helped me with seating the pastry in the foil lined bowls and we had a modest few beers to wash our pies down. A really good guys night out night and overall success.

Pizza night next week maybe?

Man those look like a feast. Makes me feel a little bit less happy about my education towards my apprentice, who finally worked it out, how to get discounts at food places we do work for. And thats for custom orders.

Did a domestic today in a very broken fixer upper. Brick peir house, sinking foundations, all the good stuff. The outer foundations were in the process of getting reinforced, kind of interesting the procedure. But that meant clay and mud all around the place. So socks inside, boots outside and under the house. Ive probably only ever done 5 or 6 domestics in 14 years. I do comercial electrical. Its very different. So it was a hard slog. This place was built around the same time as my house (early 70s) same brick peir style place. My house makes a lot more sence to work on. Anyhow, ill cut out all the issues that were overcome. Its a 2 or 3 day job. But day 1 the plan was to finish the important stuff. So a power point under the kids desks, in the master bedroom and in the laundry. So we cleaned up, the place still needs more done, but what we did is complete. No works in progress stuff. I made sure the apprentice and i left the place looking like we had never even been there. And when giving the walk through to the client (a major big dog in a company who gives my work a lot of work) and his wife they complemented the works, and how respectfull and clean we left the unfinished soon to be project house. Followed by reminding me i said im a bit rusty on domestics, but did a good job. That part was a complete lie, i know nothing about domestics, but never show incompetance. Still, positive feedback is always nice.

Posted elsewhere but appropriate here too.

Last night I took a work colleague’s son and his best mate for a burn in the Mustang.

A little bit of back story –
As a young fella myself, I was completely obsessed with cars and craved any experience car related. My father organised a ride in one of his workers new ute in my early teens. That ute was a then brand new AU II XR6 VCT in Venom Red, fitted with all the desirable options of the time – Chrome Sports bar, Tickford body kit, leather trim and momo steering wheel. It sealed my fate as a Ford man and only fueled my obsession. Later rides in a then new BA XR6T ute and a likewise new BA FPV GT were defining moments in my passion for cars and Fords in particular.
As an adult, having worked hard and bought some nice cars along the way, I am returning the favor so to speak. This colleague of mine has been a massive support to me in so many ways. Like me, she works hard and is the sort of person who would drop everything to help anybody who needed a hand. She is also a single mum, working 6 days a week to bring up to teenage children. Knowing her son was into cars, I offered a ride in the Mustang anytime he would like. With his 15th birthday arriving on Sunday, we organised a flame thrower ride for his extra special birthday gift. He got his pic taken in the driver’s seat and it was a joy to see the enthusiasm and excitement in his eyes. The Mustang put on a great show too, pulling HARD in the chilly winter night time air.

It was a great feeling to give a little something back in appreciation of the support this person has given me, and also perhaps fueling a new generation of car enthusiast in the same way that cemented my passion.

Well, after a few trial runs i can confirm success, and also the added bonus. I have excess wood from tree trimming, and a small fire pit. The fire pit would only really burn off bigger stuff if you supported it with semi constant feeding it smaller stuff. So my logic was it doesnt retain enough heat. I found success with once its going chucking on a cast bbq plate to retain heat. That works. Well, after 5 trials and it works, thats enough for me. Plus ive cooked snags on it, that's the bonus. I currently have 2 bits of railway sleeper burning away happily. Anyhow, last night was cold. I had the fire/bbq pit roasting. It started to rain. No way in hell was i letting myself leave the radiant heat. So i went to the ute, grabbed the bunnings umbrella and cable ties. Now, as we all know, bunnings umbrellas are huge and not overly practical as a personal umbrella, you can shelter more people under them then you can leagally have at a social function. But, cable tie one to an out door chair, brilliant. Also, today when i got the pit blazing, the sun was in an awkward place, not for long, brolly chair took care of that.

Well, after creating brolly chair, last night i lost the nozzle on my little pump up spray bottle. For the life of me i couldnt find it. Anyrate todays mission was bunnings for a brolly for the car as brolly chair is awesome so i needed another umbrella for the car, and a new preassure bottle. Got a text from mum saying she could find use for a preassure sprayer, convenient timing. As to be expected, when i got home and went out the back i instantly found the lost nozzle. But 2 preassure sprayers are more then 1. And it rained twice. Umbrella chair is great.
