Donald might suprise all & get a summit going & a potential peace treaty with Kim Un, while totally unlikely, who knows in this day & age lol!
Donald is a deal maker remember, if theres a opportunity, i reckon it can happen depending on the right conditions for both sides. Human rights & other issues aside, imo there is potential for both to make history here for the right reasons a la' Reagan & Gorbachev. cheers, Maka

Kim Jong Un apparently won't even speak to 'allied' leaders. The closest anyone has come is Dennis Rodman who reportedly got bounced out of NK for taking a dump in a hotel corridor after getting drunk.
I hope all forms of diplomacy are explored before military action. He already has enough conventional weaponry pointed at Seoul to reduce it to rubble without taking into account whatever nuclear capabilities he has. If Trump sends in the military, how does China and Russia respond? Something has to be done, I just hope that Trump plays as small a role as possible. His 'deal making' has certainly shown to be lacking and his knowledge of the region is even more frightening. |

What a joke. Imagine having to deal with this on a daily basis. If Spicer ever resigns or gets fired, he'll have no trouble getting a job at a Kindergarten:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqyHOKcDjU0 Trump got on the blower to Putin, just waiting for the left to whine collusion if any deal gets made in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrMndkO52q4 Just when you thought all was quiet Trump brings out the Heavy Artillery! Just when you thought it couldn't get more ludicrous.
http://thehill.com/homenews/administ...-good-shutdown I remember that kid when I was younger. You got him out but he'd threaten to take his bat and ball and go home unless you allowed him to bat on.. Washington does need fixing, removing the orange faced clown who has no idea what he's doing would be a great start. |

What do you do if things aren't going your way? Shut up shop of course!
A government shutdown is not just a political headache but also impacts those who work in government departments or agencies. Those employed in jobs ranging from National Parks to post offices are banned from working or receiving their pay during a shutdown. http://www.news.com.au/world/north-a...ac131cf2498672 |

More riots last night, mainly in Portland. What are they trying to achieve? 25 people get arrested and will likely face jail or at least a decent fine. Trump won, get over it. There's nothing they can do about that...NOTHING!

There are protests around the world over Trump, a few people getting out of hand - who appeared to be there to cause trouble from the start - shouldn't dissuade people from exercising their right to protest or stop them from being heard. |

I don't think too highly of him but would acknowledge any accomplishments if he makes a difference with this and the West Bank issue. Who knows? Sometimes the most unlikely candidates step up.

Turnbull lands in NYC for Trump meeting - Tony stows away ready to shirt-front Turnip!
Despite January's infamous phone call in which Mr Trump reportedly blasted Mr Turnbull over the US refugee resettlement deal, the prime minister expects he will get on well with the president. - See more at: http://www.skynews.com.au/news/top-s....4NB47y0L.dpuf https://www.facebook.com/snl/videos/10154926764436303/ |

As for climate change, it is real, but is it man-made? The climate has been getting warmer, then cooler, then warmer again since the dawn of time. The first documented attempt to climb Mt Kilimanjaro in the early 1800's was thwarted by the summit being completely covered by Glaciers, by the late 1800's much of the glacier covering had melted. This happened before man had much influence on the climate. I think you'll find sea levels have risen and fallen for thousands of centuries (Tasmania used to be connected !) |

If the government plan to enact laws that may affect millions of lives (his botched attempts at ACA repeal) or humanity itself (given the lengths he and the EPA head are pushing anti-climate change agenda), should he be left to 'get on with the job?' |

I doubt if he'll achieve much of what he's promised (I'm definitely not a Trump supporter), but 50% of the US was unimpressed by the alternative. They'll get their turn again some time. Look, this is a really good Car Forum, so I'm not going to denigrate it into a political debate. this could go on and on. Obviously people have different views and that's great. |

Including colluding with a foreign hostile power to gain entry to the highest position in the western world? He's either spectacularly incompetent or looking to take down American democracy from within. If he was the leader of my country, I'd be out there protesting, too. This goes way beyond not liking the winning candidate. |

Turnip’s snub of PM shows just how much Australia means to him!
NO doubt it is an insult, the sort you toss out recklessly and indulgently. US President Donald Trump has put a single legislative victory ahead of giving his blessing and attention to a close, 75-year relationship with Australia. Mr Trump has kept Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull waiting in New York while he whoops it up in Washington over the passage in the House of Representatives of legislation to abolish the health care scheme of predecessor Barak Obama. It’s been a long time between wins in the past 114 days, and rubbing Mr Obama’s face in the Reps vote must have been a delicious moment for the President. But it was also a comment on the weight he gives to the engagement with Australia. Mr Trump could direct a missile strike on Syria while making sure President Xi of China enjoyed the dessert cake at Mar-a-Lago. Japanese Prime Minister Abe had lots of quality golf time as well as a long, closed-door session in the Oval Office. Malcolm Turnbull, who timed his trip to match the schedule set by the President, will get briefings by security officials, a New York dinner, and maybe just half an hour sitting knee-to-knee with the President in private talks. http://www.news.com.au/finance/work/...d81b6bfc7a6957 Bring back the biff! |

Thundering at breakneck speed?! Well, provided you don't break your neck and require healthcare. You could be SOL.
It's united doctors, hospitals and insurers in panning it; https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/04/h...isms.html?_r=1 Healthcare that's going to comprimise the health of millions; https://thinkprogress.org/ileana-ros...i=d025d3ffa21e ..and in a rare moment of truth, Trump admits that our healthcare is better than US healthcare. I'm sure that sat well with his party! https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.bc5590f2245f |

So you've read the bill?
Experts in the field are predicting that the rich and healthy will be the beneficiaries of cuts while the sick and poor will be discarded and without health care. Enlighten me on what you know that healthcare experts don't..? Seems that it's trivial, though. Even GOP don't expect it to pass the senate in it's current state. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017...ate-as-is.html You'd think a country like the US would be the gold standard of healthcare but it's citizens appear to believe enmasse that free healthcare to all sounds too much like socialism therefore it must be bad. |

It still has to pass the Senate.
It makes you thankful for Medicare here. It's a **** load better than what they have in the US. The funny part is he doesn't seem to realise why it is better |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV-05TLiiLU And naturally your experts will have a different narrative or agenda to ones that endorsed it. I still think in years to come that they will gravitate to some form of universal health care. Anyway, remember the leaked phone call to Turnbull from Trump - the MSM went nuts! Even Malcolm acknowledged the 'Fake News' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icNweI92bKg |

The "failing" 'New York Times' breaks subscription record despite Trump's criticism!
The "failing" New York Times received more new digital subscriptions in the first quarter of 2017 than any other quarter in the paper's history. According to a New York Times Co. official release, the paper added "308,000 net digital-only news subscriptions" in Q1, increasing the company's circulation revenue by 11%. The paper also saw overall gains taking in $13 million of net income, compared with a $14 million net loss from the same period in the previous year. Unsurprisingly, the Times saw a drop in its print advertising revenue as digital media continues to become more prominent. Digital ads now account for 38% of the company's advertising revenue compared with 30% in the first quarter of last year. https://mic.com/articles/176075/the-...ism#.ZI6z30Ehh |
