When he shoots from the lip, he sounds natural and not like yet another poll-driven politician. When he tweets, with !! and CAPITALS, it is authentic and direct. Critics have totally the opposite reaction. But maybe they are being elitist, or snobbish, if they judge Mr Trump by the odd way he talks, or by his overuse of superlatives and his slim grasp of history. What matters far more is what he does with the presidency.

I reckon his detractors in the corridors of power have done far more damage to the office than Trump has.

How so?

He has not fulfilled his duties. Hundreds of federal positions remain unfilled since he took office. He just created a major vacancy. He either doesn't understand or denies the separation of powers built into our constitutional system. He retains multiple conflicts of interest. He has used nepotism at a level never before seen in the nation's history. He behaves like a petulant child. He tries to govern via Twitter. He cannot speak in coherent sentences. He has belittled our allies and emboldened our enemies. He went from least-qualified candidate ever to most inept president ever.

Yeah, that's the official line. Aides suggest that Trump had asked Sessions for a reason to fire Comey, thinking that by firing him it'd put the Russian investigation to bed. He was even warned by Schumer that this was a mistake.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/sc...rticle/2622613

Because the Dems thought the email saga sunk Clinton, he thought he'd have bi-partisan support. That's now much of a *moron* he is. Either he has zero insight into how this would look despite being told point blank or firing the head of an investigation against you hoping to kill it looks better than whatever that investigation is going to find about links to Russia.

Apart from *thanking him* for what he did in 2016 (and blowing him a kiss on inauguration day), he's had months to fire him for his handling of Clinton's emails - but he chooses now when the investigation is closing in? Same deal with Sally Yates, same deal with Preet Bharara.

If the man is completely innocent and has no ties to Russia, wouldn't you think you'd open up everything to an independent review so you can get on with governing the country with no innuendo? Well, not in Donald's case because he has a cemetary worth of skeletons in his closet and some of those, if the rumours are true will have him spending the rest of his orange life behind bars.

Why wasn't he fired in January when Trump took office?

It's an excuse.

Suspicious timing...

Spicer hides in the bushes because he didn't want to answer questions about Comey's firing!

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-s...den-the-bushes

Senator wants to hire Comey to lead Senate probe - now that would be hilarious but I couldn't see that going ahead.

http://edition.cnn.com/videos/tv/201...robe-cnntv.cnn

Can't fire the person investigating you!!

Fox!?

The hammer could start falling as early as tomorrow! The firing of Comey has awoken the beast.

https://patribotics.blog/2017/05/11/...ible-thursday/

Funny thing is, the longer Trump and his cronies sit in the oval office, the more they rack up offences.

Senate Intelligence Committee has requested documents on Trump from Treasuries Money Laundering Unit.

He'll have plenty of time to work on his short game from his jail cell.

They way this whole saga is playing out, everyone within the power structure of the US will need to be in prison or on the way there. The way the US republic is being destroyed would make Chancellor Palpatine envious...

I've seen quotes of up to 48 compromised people by Russia in US Government. I'd dare say within both parties. If Trump did one good thing through his idiotic bumbling, it's to put a focus on corruption within the system.

Popcorn time, indeed. Fascinating watching him flail about on twitter. Spicer could be the next in the unemployment queue based on aides listening to him yelling at his TV.

The timing, the fact that he refers to the Russian investigation and not the Clinton investigation in his termination letter, and the fact he was blowing smoke up Comey's bum only a few months ago makes me highly suspicious of this

There are rumours that this appears to be a top down decision and if there is evidence to support it, that would be the icing on the cake and surely the boot in the ****.

Had Comey been fired early in Trump's term or at least after the Russian investigation had concluded this **** storm would have been avoided.

How anyone could not anticipate this situation is beyond words. Incompetence at best

No ties to Russia:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...her/101520384/

Excerpt:
Quote:
At a time of strain between the White House and the media over coverage of the new administration, reporters raised questions Wednesday as to why a photographer from the Russian media, but not the U.S. press, was apparently allowed into an Oval Office meeting between President Trump and Russian officials.

The issue surfaced after photos of the meeting, including Trump shaking hands with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and controversial Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak, appeared in the Russian media.

The images were taken by a photographer from TASS, the Russian state-owned new agency.

The issue was further inflamed by the presence of Kislyak, who has been at the center of several controversies involving administration officials, including now fired National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The Russian embassy even tweeted a photograph of Trump smiling broadly as he put his arm around the diplomat while shaking his hand in the Oval Office.

He's certainly losing his marbles. Dementia is the one being thrown about the most.

More tasty intel if true. Love the part where if Trump pardons Flynn, he'd implicate himself. He better get as many rounds of golf in as he can because his golfing days could be limited.

Donald Trump changes his story on FBI Director’s sacking!

DONALD Trump has shot down his own White House’s initial explanation for the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

In an interview with NBC today, Mr Trump called Mr Comey a “showboat”, and said he was going to sack him regardless of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s recommendation.

That recommendation was central to the White House’s story in the hours after Mr Comey was fired. Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters Mr Rosenstein had independently assessed Mr Comey’s performance, and the President wasn’t even aware of his probe before receiving the pivotal memo.

“No one from the White House,” Mr Spicer told a reporter, driving the point home. “That was a Department of Justice decision.”

Multiple media reports in the ensuing 48 hours, citing sources inside the administration, contradicted the White House’s story and claimed Mr Trump had instructed Mr Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to find a reason to fire Mr Comey.

It's like a bunch of chooks with their heads cut off. How can you be a press secretary for Trump when he flip flops so often and makes you look as moronic as he does on an almost daily basis.

Spicer looked like a complete turkey from the moment he stood in front of the mic in his official capacity when he tried to bolster Trump's ego about the lower inauguration crowds vs Obama claims. First saying that there were no official numbers so it's impossible to tell until moments later when he said that Trump's crowd was clearly bigger. Gone downhill from there.

It's as if Trump had one of his aides read through 3/4's of Nixon's Biography to him and he said.. Ok, I've got the gist of it now - let me take it from here (just less coherently..)

Excerpt: There are rumors within the intelligence community that indictments are either being prepared, or presently exist, sealed, against the Attorney General, Jeff Sessions. One source reports that Sessions may be arrested, or a case against him announced, later today, Friday March 12th. Although I cannot find another source at this late hour to agree, the RUMINT is interesting enough that I am passing it on to readers as an update to the below post, originally published on the day Sessions was confirmed as Attorney General.

I think it's meant to say May 12th since March 12th didn't fall on a Friday.
