Why is it yesterday I saw a guy yelling "Let's Go Brandon" when Logan Sargeant was driven around the circuit on the driver's parade lap of the Albert Park circuit?

Why is it white people imitating black people ("black face") is offensive however males imitating females ("woman face") is not equally offensive?

Why is it woke mobs don't stand up for women's rights and encourage violence against women when they defend their rights?

Why is it doctors now seem to be focused on sending electronic prescriptions over traditional paper scripts......................only for the pharmacy to then print out the script when submitted for fill?

I'm guessing costs. A good friend of ours is a doctor and she and her husband (office manager) have had their own sugrery for years. They sold out last year as the extra costs being put upon them meant they were working for nothing. They tried to bulk bill as many patients as possible to help the community but ended up having to reduce that to cardholders only. They are now employees of the company they sold the practice to and have never been better off.

By working for nothing I presume they meant they were on maybe a bit under $500k per year! There is no such person as a poor doctor even if the bulk bill every patient.

Because cloud is not fog! If you had suggested a cloudhorn, that would yield a different answer

Coz these are the same people that fly around in the dark with no headlights on but have the interior lights on.

Park at the end of 4km of concrete with the engines going flat out and the brakes on, then when they want to stop they chuck it in reverse!

Why is it...that news.com.au has a story about an American influencer who was offended by two girls mocking her while taking vids and selfies of herself. ?

Not even close to being "news".
Also, you deserve to be mocked.

I deleted the shortcut off my phone, never visiting that site again.....why is it my phone came with this already there to use?

Ah, Gaso, you forgot the qualifier in your quote....

Why is it that some dog owners feel it's ok to take their pooch for exercise by having the poor animal run alongside the car whilst the owner sits on their bottom in the car? Sure, I get that the occasional run may be ok like this, but regularly seeing the same clowns out exercising their dog this way suggests it's more regular than that.

Borders on animal cruelty IMHO.

Also, if it's good for your pooch to get exercise, it's probs not going to do you any harm either.

Why is it that a court orders Trump to pay 7 mill to an alleged sexual assault victim, yet when he pays a former alleged sexual assault victim, he gets brought before the courts for it?

because it was done on the hush, hush. and where did the funds for it come from as she was paid [and paid thru another party], during the annual pollies 'vote for me' .. time. over there it was just the wrong time & wrong way to buy someone's silence. and from 'memory' i don't think she was alleging assault, but that there had been 'something' going on between the two of em. that's if i have the person your talking about?.

Why is it that when a woman, tragically, dies in a domestic event, it is automatically assumed that the male is the aggressor and the woman assumed to be the true victim.

But when the tables are turned, and, tragically, the male dies in a domestic event, it is assumed that the male was the true aggressor and the female was the true victim and was subject to abuse which led her to taking the action she did.

Granted, I get that this may generally be the case, but surely we shouldn't be making assumptions until the facts are collected?

You need to watch the Gillette ad from a few years ago. You are a male. Therefore your mere existence proves you have toxic masculinity.

Why is it that people find it difficult to accept when you decline an offer they've made you?

Neighbour gets prepared meals delivered to her door. Tonight she text me to say that she's dropped a voucher into my letterbox for a month's worth of free food if I sign up, but I can close my account after the first month and there's no ongoing obligation.

I replied that I appreciated the offer but that sort of service is not for me. I offered to give it to my other neighbour who mentioned to me today that he should get back into getting those meals delivered.

She then replied saying that she only offered because it was free.

I then felt obliged to reply telling her why I was still not interested even tho it was free.

Why should I have to do that? I politely declined the offer. That should be the end of it!

I have a neighbor who, almost without fail, asks me when and where I'm going on my next "trip".

I've been overseas once, to New Zealand, she is also from NZ. And while I did enjoy the experience, I have good and bad memories of the whole thing.

On one hand, it was my first time on a plane and first visit to another country. I turned 30 in the air, and I ate the single best hunk of chocolate cheesecake to mark the occasion. The scenery was simply stunning.

But, I also remember how anxiety ridden I was. I travelled with my sister, who had just gone through a messy break up, as such she was extremely short fused and treated me like a child the whole time, I'm the eldest by three years. So, it was like attempting to walk on eggshells the whole time, and to be honest, I was happy to get home.

This was at the very end of December 2016. In 2018 I had surgery on my back and was out of action for a couple of months with complications. So, to make up lost ground, I ended up working myself into the ground through the rest of 2018 and into 2019. Then Covid hit, and like everyone else, there was no prospect of going ANYWHERE.

During 2020 and 2021, I had figured out that I actually hated going on holidays somewhere, either in Australia or overseas. Like, why bother doing something voluntarily, only to hate it and spend the whole time ridden with anxiety? Give me two weeks in the garage with my toys and I'm completely happy and content, no stress, no people, no worries.

I mention all that because this neighbor just won't leave the subject alone. I have explained, numerous times, how I don't like or want to go on "another trip" and therefore I'm not planning one. If it was the occasional ask, then that's fine, but it's almost always brought up every time she comes over to disturb my garage therapy session. With the most recent questioning, I ended up getting a bit narky. I get it, some people feel the need to go to somewhere new and exciting, but from my perspective, it took me a long time to realize I hate travel, so why do something that I hate? I do that enough as it is.

You should not have replied, I would have left it at the first reply you sent back to her, your point was put across quite satisfactory.

Cheers.

Yeah, you're probably right. It's just that I feel rude if I don't respond. Maybe that's my downfall; being too polite!

Why is it, while on a short break in Sydney I'm finding shops that don't take cash/legal tender at all. One had a sign with the lame excuse it was safer for us and them.

Easy, shop somewhere else. I know I would.

Are you living on "The World" (ship) the way you keep coming backwards and forwards. ?
