Unhappy Hi

Recently bought a South African 97 EF Ford Fairmont. Needed a large Automatic @ a good price. No such luck in this country.
When I bought the car the dash was lit like a christmas tree. Thanks to fordforums most these problems were solved. The problem here is that second hand spares (Hole in the one day & out as spares the next day) & even new parts is scares in this country, so the brand has a bad name.
How does private import/export work for spare parts.

Smile gday!

Hi everyone,
Old to AFF (use it for info from threads a lot) but new to the hole posting on forums.

Drive an 02 BA 3v 5.4 barra ute! Will be selling soon to go back to a more family friendly car as my wife is returning to work and my 2 kids are now going to daycare. Will take the pressure off the wife if i can continue to pick the kids up (not that i'm overly keen on ditching the rocket, have considered slapping in a bench seat but think it will be a tight squeeze with 2 kiddy seats)

so here she is, would like to get about $10k.

original hard top and spoiler, tinted windows, redback exhaust with back muffler removed and 2 hot dogs in its place!!! 4 speed sports auto!

G'day all. I'm from Sydney. Recently joined from another Ford forum that seems to be dying on its ***. I own a MK2 XR6 ute in Kinetic and its a fantastic car so far and my first brand new Ford. I plan to leave it pretty much as the factory intended. I have owned plenty of Fords including Cortina, Escort, Laser and many Falcons (both 6's and V8's, sedans and utes). Look forward to engaging with you in the near future when I can find the bloody time!

Hey everyone..Nice to be amongst some fellow fordies. I've been a ford man ever since my old man bought a second hand XY GT back in the 70"s & we had the baddest car in the neighborhood. I'm also heavily into bikes & the current love of my life is a Suzuki TL1000s. I drive a BA Fairmont Ghia 4.0 (which I love) and have recently purchased a 2004 TS AWD for the wife. Here's where I need some help. It's got a fairly harsh vibration/shudder under acceleration from about 90kph onwards, nothing from a standing start, and it stops as soon as I get off the gas. It has about 200000 on the clock. Having never owned an AWD before I'm not sure where to start looking so any advice I could get would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

G'day all,

I've been a couch car lover until recently when I purchased a 77 XC (250) and a 351 4v in separate sales. The plan is to get them together with a face lift and upset a few tree huggers. I have helped others with their own projects from 28's to little rice burners and now I have the reins, its a tad daunting. Loving google, but if you fellas could throw some sound advice from time to time I could probably be on the road a bit quicker. This is my 'teeth cutter' project so I didn't want to bite off too much more than I can chew.

I don't even have a phrase yet..........

Hi All

I have been a ford lover for pretty much most of my life...ever since i watched running on empty at the age of about 6!
I have just purchased a bog stock BA XR8 Ute and discovered this forum in my quest to learn about what performance mods i can do to get some more HP! I have to tell you i was very impressed with all of the comments i read and the advice you guys were giving, hence why i decided to join!
I look forward to picking all of your brains for your advice and knowledge!

Thanks in advance

G'day Ford owners, I am a (aging) Ford XR6 ute owner and very proud of it.
Have recently changed the brakes using this forum as support. Most appreciated.

Hope to learn a lot more in the future. 'Never to old to learn new tricks'
